We do alot of our food shop here but still go to other shops for certain other things that Lidl do not do. Although the special offers and extra things they do such as home, garden and clothes etc are often really good. Only down side is that if you find something you like and you want to buy it regularly often you can't because they change the items on a regular basis and don't get that particular item in again. Such as home items, garden, clothes, electricals, kids items, furniture, etc. And once something is sold out it's gone for good. Just like everywhere right now prices are rising on alot of food items which is a shame because Lidl has always been extremely competitive when it came to food prices. Some items are cheaper to buy elsewhere same as any supermarket. It is no longer always the place to go for cheaper prices. Yes it is still cheaper for some things such as certain meats and certain fish etc but things such as alternative milks, yoghurts, frozen foods can be found at better prices elsewhere often the same quality or better. I definitely still rate Lidl as an overall supermarket but here's hoping that prices start to plateau or go back down eventually. Disabled access for parking and in the shop is great and they have access to toilets. The self serve is also great and is...
Read moreI visited this store the end of April beginning of May. On entering I slipped on the tiles between the door and the anti slip mat. I fell and rolled over the metal anti slip mat hard. A lady stopped with her daughter and asked out of concern was I okay. And made sure. Due to being embarrassed I replied I was and limped into the store. I sustained minor injury. A badly grazed knee. And small cut to my left hand and scarstches around my torso. When I approached the manager. Or management that were at the time on the shop floor. I explained what had happened. I was given what I would call a (dirty) look. He appeared to be put out that I had complained/explained what had happened. I asked for a plaster. The manager, stormed off and returned some time later with a small flimsy plaster. At no point did any other member of staff ask if I was okay. I was clearly know looking shaken. I limped back to my car. Took pictures of my injuries and returned to the store. I had to ASK for an accident form. The manager again blanked me as he stormed from the office to the check outs. There were no wet floor signs, no floor signs what so ever.. I will never shop at this store again if I can help it. I found the management rude, nasty...
Read moreI shop here quite regularly and don’t normally have a problem. Recently though there has been no cleanser or hand sanitiser available although I do carry some. Today while in store I was approach by a man ( I won’t call him a gentleman) shopping with his wife both not wearing face coverings. He proceeded to lecture me that it was not necessary to wear masks I should check on the government web site etc. Although staff were nearby no one intervened but I did politely tell him to get lost. I don’t care what his opinion is. We are all being ask to wear masks as a courtesy to others. If you don’t like it shop on line. Please staff could you remind customers of this as you are more exposed to...
