Nice trip up in car, drove the non toll road up, careful its a bit technical if you're not to good with your handbrake n steep hill starts. I had a lovely egg mayo sandwich and Bakewell from the cafe was quite a windy one when i went up so be prepared for that. Nice little gift shop too its worth making the trip up on the vintage tram as you will have to pay to use the carpark. There is also a minigolf course for the kids but aim for a calm sunny visit if you want to use it. Make time to visit the bronze age mines near the top too. Can be a bit damp and slippery inside so take your time but definitely worth going down it. Loads of interesting history and archaeology on display a perfect day trip up if you go easy and take your time. £9 for the mine visit. Unsure of the tram cost. Clean beaches and stunning views nearby too.

I love this place take my family at least once a month lots to do walking drive around the orme there's a toll of 2.50 a car tobogganing cable cars skiing not for getting the mine if you like to be a bit adventure . Not for getting the beautiful tram that goes up the orme there is only a few of these trams left now it's a must ride. When you get to the summit (679ft) there's beautiful 360 views of llandudno the little orme Conway estuary puffin lsland Anglesey to the Snowdonia mountains. There's a pub up at the top gift shops and a restaurant where you can get hot cold food hot cold drinks ect . Have a walk around there meet the goats and sheep and visit the church and cemetery where old sailors are buried . Have a walk on the nature trails and prehistoric remains Llandudno cable car is the longest cable car in Britain.

We have been coming here since my youngest was 1 he's now 20 and 6 children later still coming here , it's great up the top for kids, there's a fantastic playground FREE - you do have to pay to park but certainly worth a few hours of otherwise free playtime or walking. Tons of lovely Walks to go on, also lovely building you can look around also where you can drinks and snacks also great for picnics.also toliets Yehh , also Great slate mine as you are coming up on the left worth a visit. The tram is ok but not cheap but ok for a one off if you haven't done it before, personally we just drive up then you have as long as you want here . Views are spectacular. Can spend a good few hours here chilling out if weather is good , just don't forget your kite ( mum of 7 and run a turtle & Tortoise sanctuary)

(Tip for Campervan Drivers too) The best £3.50 spent from Llandudno Pier to take the costal route. Went to the summit and all the way round end at West Parade Llandudno. We had our Campervan so there are about 3 Hair Pin turns to the Summit. On the way up is a toilet block by an old church and cemetery. At the top is a cafe, cable cars and more amazing views. If you drive a Camper the turning circle on these bends can be managed in a a 5m Van, ours is 15ft/4.78m and we turned in one go. If you have a LWB van I would suggest the in land entry and exit point of you want to drive to the summit. Find this in Google. Drive the costal route is fine a any size van I would imagine, just not the summit from Llandudno side.

Lots of things to do on the Orme. I'd avoid the summit complex as its dirty, crowded and expensive. Visitors centre and wildflower garden is lovely. There are copper mines to visit, cable cars, ski and toboggan run, happy valley. My favourite thing on the Orme is the drive around the road that goes all the way round the Orme. You drive past St Tudnos church and also the Rest and Be Thankful cafe which is much nicer and cleaner than the summit complex. Coming down you go along "millionaires row" which are expensive exclusive houses. Finally coming back to the West Shore end of town. There is also a bus that goes up the Orme and also the land train that stops at the Rest and Be Thankful for refreshment.

We parked for free in Llandudno and walked along the Promenade before heading up to the Great Orme. I was wanting to go on the cable-car ride, but after seeing how long the queue was, we decided to walk it instead. We walked along the path of the scenic drive (4 miles) which had such picturesque views and amazing landscapes. I definitely recommend walking this route if you have time! The views from the top were also stunning looking over to Snowdonia National Park. We walked back down from the top along the road that the cars take, it was quite steep down hill the whole way (although there were children and a variety of different fitness levels doing it).

Description
The Great Orme is a limestone headland on the north coast of Wales, north-west of the town of Llandudno. Referred to as Cyngreawdr Fynydd by the 12th-century poet Gwalchmai ap Meilyr, its English name derives from the Old Norse word for sea serpent.
