An excerpt from our latest wedding blog. A fantastic time as always at Danson House, Victor is a true asset to your team. "If you have ever been to a wedding at Danson House, you would have likely met the wonderful Victor who makes a fantastic host. Victor is a well loved fixture at Danson House and I will admit to having a bit of a soft spot for him. A true gentleman, Victor has the kindest soul and always works hard making everyones visit to Danson House special. He is the type of man who would make the perfect grandad; full of stories, an abundance of advice and a little cheekiness on the side. It was lovely to see him again after all this time and I hope he knows how appreciated he is"

Stunning house and lovely location, great view! 🤩♥️🤩♥️ Built by Sir John Boyd in 1766 for his second wife Catherine Chapone, Danson House was originally designed by architect Sir Robert Taylor (who was also the architect of the Bank of England). In the twentieth century, the house fell into an almost ruinous state. In 1995 English Heritage identified the house as 'the most significant building at risk in London', signalling the start of a decade of restoration. In 2005 the restored interior opened to the public for the first time in thirty years.👏👏👏♥️

Got married here at Danson house 16 Sept 2020 and the staff were amazing. Friendly, helpful and guided me through the procedure and made me feel comfortable. The rooms were all beautiful and luxurious setting. The Danson surroundings is just beautiful to take photos on a lovely day. Great to take a stroll by the lake or through the Old English garden opposite the Danson House. The park is huge and has a play area for the kids which I recommend bringing swimwear during the summer. Car park is free during weekdays but £3 on weekends and bank holidays.

Just a stunning Georgian villa built in 1766. It has five room in total (one is being used at the moment). In the entrance hall there is a large space for taking few nice photos and further in even more opportunities to snap some amazing pictures including the spectacular staircase. Just outside opposite the venue there is a lovely park with large, open spaces. If you go around the building you'll find even more open space with even a pond. If you are planning a reception you don't need to go far. There are few awesome restaurants nearby.

Excellent place to spend a day out with family/kids. Big boating lake where you can feed birds. Big and very well maintained playground for kids of all ages. Kiosk, where you can buy coffee, snacks or some warmed food, tables to sit and toilets (reasonable standard) available close to the playground. Danson Stable pub is popular and serves good food. However we did not like the burger from the kids menu (may be because we went there within the very busy hours), but kids fish and chips are amazing.

Absolute worst experience I've had so far covering a civil registry. The couple were given inconsistent timing. They were told they will have 45 minutes after the registration to take pictures. At the moment the registry finished the couple and all of the guests were rushed outside. They won't even give 2 mins for quick pictures inside. Absolutely will not recommend this venue for any happy occasions.
