Possibly the best park in the borough for walking the dog ,the children or yourself. As well as running, riding your bike, rowing on the lake, feeding the ducks, fishing or just people or duck watcing. Refreshments available from kiosk by The Boathouse, in my opinion the best, from cafe at rear of Mansion House or The Stables. Tours of aformentionef Mansion are available, rooms are decorated with William Morris wallpaper. There are gardens, which are tad neglected now and bowls and tennis courts. Read moreI learned how to kayak here and came for many years. SHOUTOUT TO BEN! Very funny guy and all of the instructors are very nice, top 10 areas to visit. I even learned how to sail however I would not always reccomend this as sometimes you will literally go nowhere or you will end up upside down. My favourite game is the one where you have to touch your nose to the bow of the kayak, what a fun one!! However, I am not very good at T-Rescues and have had a few accidents...

He was brilliant from start to finish. Very welcoming and efficient. He managed the children well and organised some brilliant water based games and activities.
The children were kayaking non-stop for 2 hours. They all came back buzzing with excitement.
