Fairlop Waters can easily be used as a 'Summer/Winter Residential Camp' because of the presence of number of sports, leisure, food and vast green space at this country park.
Outdoor Activity Centre runs many of these activities along with training course on rowing, sailing, surfing. The Centre offers coaching, R.Y.A courses, race sessions and equipment for those wishing to sail. Session times vary throughout the season and include after-school clubs, evening racing and weekends. The Centre also caters group sessions for school, youth group, scouts, and guides!
Fascinating adventurous Fairlop Waters Country Park has two large car parks off Forest Road at either side of the lake! There is a dedicated section for Disabled Car Parking Bays ♿ 🅿! Valid Blue Badge Holders can park FREE 🆓 of charge!
Fairlop Waters Country Park is one of the most favourite places for walking, jogging, exercising, running, dog walking, leisurely stroll, cycling 🏃 🚶🚴 - in fresh air all the year round! Trail around the Sailing Lake is fully accessible for people with mobility restrictions and pushchairs! Walking/running/cycling along the trail - one can witness amazing nature reserve, large sailing lake, golf course, Wetlands, diverse range of wild animals and much more! As you keep walking along - the trail becomes more exciting and surroundings become more enchanting! There are many trails/circuits to choose from for all ages and abilities!
Only drawback is that the timetable and/or opening hours of these activities, sessions and clubs are really hard to find! Vision RCL website doesn't have all the details and also the website is not very user-friendly! It would really enhance the experience of visitors at the Fairlop Waters!

This place could be an absolute goldmine, but when we went yesterday on a glorious sunny day and it was not busy, we found out why. I tried to pay for parking but my mobile had run out of data and i asked the manager if she could help. She was not interested at all and told me, it is managed by another company and nothing she could do. A very helpful stranger helped me and did it on her phone and i gave her the cash. Why could the staff not have that service for someone without a mobile phone or elderly that can not work an app? Then we tried to get something to eat. Behind the bar at 12:30 in the afternoon, they had 3 baguettes, that had been made god knows when, wrapped in cling film, not what we fancied when we went out for a lovely lunch with my elderly mother. We went through to the restaurant and on a lunchtime service with a beautiful but completely empty outdoor seating area. The staff were so unhelpful, they had 6 main dishes on the menu and all very expensive and nothing for a light lunch. Steaks, lamb shanks and kebabs. We wanted a salad or sandwich in a lovely setting, when we asked the staff if there was anything on the complex that served anything like that, they just shrugged and said they worked in the restaurant and didnt know!!!!! We then tried to order with the waitress, but was told she was not able to take orders and the only person that was able to take our order was busy with the only other people that had just walked in and was a table of 8 lads.
