Coffee at 27 — Restaurant in London

Very rubbish "flat white" - scalded / burnt coffee at the bottom with masses of solid, large- bubbled milk foam on top, made with no love (milk literally just dumped in quickly from a height). So, errr, not a flat white at all really. The kind of stuff you expect from a rubbish motorway service station, not an independent London coffee shop. Was also served in a disposable paper cup, despite it not being a takeaway order. Just lazy.

Wanted to have a croissant or something, but they were all out in the open on the counter and were very obviously badly burnt - not sure how they expected to sell any.

Try somewhere...

I live round the corner from here and so my housemate and I come to grab a takeaway coffee every week, to drink whilst we walk around Figges Marsh. The coffee's really good, they have a wide range of both drinks and food available, and the staff are also always really friendly, which is nice. We've also sat in once, and taken away pastries, paninis, etc. - never found anything we didn't like! Would definitely recommend the peanut butter...

My local coffee shop. Always go there for breakfast when I am not working (and not exploring brunch places).

The food is pretty good for the value. The only little critique I have is the sauce of the poached eggs really feels heavy and is not legit hollandaise (probably bottled ready hollandaise from the supermarket). The stuff is very very friendly and the waitress who usually attends me is always friendly...
