Not a place for Volunteers

The park itself for a stroll and visit is lovely. They have few staff members and many volunteers, wanting to expand the amount of volunteers. BUT do not volunteer there. They discriminate if you have physical/mental health issues.

I volunteered for 1 year without having been "inducted", trained, informed properly. Many other volunteers also have not been inducted, and after I raised issues, they quickly did a “mass-induction” letting everyone sign on the same day. Ad volunteers have no legal right to sue companies for discrimination, like paid employees have via Tribunal, they get rid of anyone inconvenient while the staff mess up, discriminate etc.

They had health and safety issues which I raised in writings a I almost got injured, had food poisoning etc. The place was a mess, but since then they asked for an EHO to check and received 5 stars. The 2 staff members in the greenhouse area did not do their jobs, resulting in me raising further issues and the leadership, trustees and staff accusing me of violating policy.

But as I didn't know the policy they had to change direction to try and get rid of me. I raised a grievance according to their policy which is mixed up for paid staff and volunteers. And as they have a new Development Manager who worked in HR

As fields go this is certainly the closest to my house. I go there occasionally. I used to play football down there every week with a few local lads and two of my mates. I'm not sure how this started but we ended up doing it quite a few times. The local guys were very friendly but quite intimidating- one guy was called 'Deamon', I suspect that wasn't his given name but still. Anyway, clearly I wanted to impress these guys. I was drafted on to a team against one of my friends. As luck would have it I had the game of my life while my mate had a game to forget, I must have skinned him alive maybe half a dozen times. I skinned him so ferociously that I had amnysty internation on the phone to me the next day to discuss the war crimes I had committed. Needless to say the lads (Deamon included) were buzzing by my performance. I was wearing a Matt's Hummel's Germany shirt at the time and everytime I turned my mate inside out "HUMMELS" would errupt from the lads. What an occasion!! I think the park also hosts a little market now...

A very nice park, its a local park for me, a variety of things you can do,but I'm gonna be very honest with the 3 stars I gave it,as I've not been to the park for a while, a small minority of dog owners and people are letting the park down, littering is ridiculous, the community If your going to eat in the park clean up after yourselves, hats off to those that do maintenance to the park which clean the park regularly but its ignorant to litter where there is sufficient bins in the park, very lazy behaviour, dog owners you have two designated areas in the park for your dogs why must you let your dog off the leash where there is children around as well as allowing your dogs to foul on the grass areas where people go, very selfish, but hope...

What a lovely stroll in a local park not far from where we live. The park has many walk paths, greenery and views. There are several little garden sections which is also great. Tennis, basketball and football courts can also be rented out, there’s a beautiful hut at the centre of the park which is also great to take some photos or relax in there too! I recommend this park to anyone in the area who lives a stone throw away to visit here. I’m sure we will be back again as this is now our local gem or a park.

This modest park with original Victorian path lay-out, landscaped by Fanny Rollo Wilkinson in the 1890’s. Original heritage fabric includes a bandstand and summer house. Grade II Listed , atmospheric and delightful. A contemporary children's playground, courts, a nature area, enclosed lawns, shady trees, communal gardens and cafe complete what is possibly London's finest suburban small park and certainly worth seeking out. Unreservedly recommended.

A amazing Park, for little birthdays party(they have a reserved area) where people do a little celebration party. Also the win win of the Park is if the weather is good the kids can play at kids water area. It's super cool, parents can just seat , relax and enjoy see their children. Another side de Park has football/basketball pitch and tennis 🎾 area too. Loos like a very clean Park 👌🏽 👏🏽
