Excellent place for the children to play. Been here few times. Probably the best in West London!
I would have given 5 stars, however after the recent party we booked (for 12 children) I give it 3 stars due to the following:
Food ordered was veg pizza and chips for the children. The pizza was rock hard and half the kids did not eat the pizza.
I selected veg sandwiches for the adults (20 x quarters). It was no doubt more expensive than other well known retailers. On the day I received a call they did not have mayo, and have to choose another option. The quantity was not really enough for the parents and it was expensive to order another considering we have spent excess of £300 already.
The food extras was extremely limited. Even when booking in advance (4 days) The only option was sandwiches. An extra large portion or fries and fruit platter could have been good payable option for children and adults. Customers should have more options on food. Maybe S&L can contract an external supplier to supply the extras, such as somasoas, fruit platter, crisps and other snacks. If customers can pay for it in advance online then S&L can make the transaction with their approved supplier.
Besides the birthday cake, we could not bring anything else in the facilities. That is understandably the S&L policy. However, if there is a very limited option on food you provide then surely you can either remove the restrictions for parties or make available more variety of extras.
We spent another £30 or so on teas and coffee. Surely party hosts should be entitled to at least 10% to 15% discount on coffee and teas purchased from the counter. That would be a good incentive and encourages other customers to book more parties.
Children were given sugar coated party rings (biscuits). Would have been better off being offered healthy salad platter (not available) to promote good health and healthy eating. The children were already charged up with juice, cake and this only charged them up more with sugar.
The walk from the car park to S&L is very long. For disabled persons, it would be good to have a golf cart service or make available wheelchairs so disabled don't need to struggle with the walk. Maybe have...
Snakes and Ladders at Syon Park is designed to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for children to play and explore. The soft play area features a variety of climbing frames, ball pits, and slides, catering to different age groups, which ensures that both toddlers and older children can find something to enjoy.
We loved the vibrant decor and playful design of the space, creating an immersive atmosphere that sparks children's imaginations.
For parents, there are comfortable seating areas where you can keep an eye on the kids while relaxing. The café within the play centre offers a selection of healthy snacks, meals, and beverages, making it convenient for families to enjoy a meal without having to leave the venue. Also, operating a buzzer system notifying you once your food is ready to pick up.
Safety is a top priority at Snakes and Ladders, with regular cleaning and maintenance of the play equipment (closing for a deep clean at times of the day). Staff members are always on hand to assist and ensure that children are playing safely.
Moreover, the location at Syon Park adds an extra layer of appeal. After a fun-filled session of play, families can explore the beautiful park grounds, which include gardens, walking paths, and picnic areas, making it a perfect day out.
Overall, Snakes and Ladders is more than just a play area; it’s a complete family experience that combines fun, safety, and convenience in a beautiful setting. Whether you're looking for a place to celebrate a birthday or just a fun outing, it’s definitely...
Read moreGood to have a softplay option in the neighbourhood but it's expensive (about 16 quid for a one year old+ an accompanying adult for a two hour session, I find it ridiculous to have to pay double the kids fare as a supervising adult), quite small and not very friendly. It essentially consists of a huge cafe, an under 5 area and one older kids area, plus a small outdoors area. Some of the space is completely useless, like the rooms that are supposed to be a store/ hospital/construction site have nothing in them to play with, the walls are covered with pixelated images and that's it (attaching a photo of the "construction site", how is this fun for kids?) A lot of other stuff you have to pay for extra (the carousels, the cars, etc). The café is overpriced. The staff is friendly but mostly focused on making their job easier, for example, if you book the final session of the day (4.15-6.15) they will start cleaning and putting chairs/toys/etc away already around 5pm, smack in the middle of your play session. The toilets are extremely dirty by the end of the day and noone cares. On a hot gets extremely hot inside, so the ACs are not doing the job. Loads of room for improvement that has to take place before we will consider...
