Siracusa - Italian Restaurant Brentford — Restaurant in London

We visited this restraunt on the 12th june 2022 after finding very few places to eat, i think its only right that i write this review to completely honest ,very dissapointiointing..ie..bruschette was on a sort of pitta bread ,toms were not ripe & sour, overpriced, we asked for water ..water ,not mineral er, ,portions very small, then salt in the wounds ,they charge a gratuity ,neraly 10 quid for not a v nice experience ,will not visit again, worst italian ever had...sorry.....your restraunt was not busy, yet my wife had to wait for her fries to arrive seperately, after she had practically eaten her steak,... Its important that reviews are honest, becuase too many people are afraid to speak out,& it should help these places to improve what they do...ie..bruchette in there photos shows how they should be made..fresh baguette type bread sliced & fresh ripe vine toms diced with garlick olive oil & oregano herbs , what we got was awfull ,like thin cardboard,with cheap toms on...7.95 for that??? Pasta dish was so salty & dry...should have spoken up ,but just wanted to go...our reward was a £75...

On 26th October 24, I took my wife to this restaurant for a meal. Being a Saturday, it was quite noisy and very busy. Unfortunately there didn't appear to be enough staff to cope with the number of customers which meant we had to wait a considerable length of time between courses. When we eventually ordered, I was told that the Pork Belly was not available. I then ordered another dish. No more that 10 minutes later, a couple sat down on the table next to us, and the gentleman ordered the Pork Belly. No word from the waitress that the Pork Belly was not available, and they proceeded to serve the gentleman the Pork Belly dish. It would appear that the couple next to us received preferential treatment as they seemed very friendly towards the waitress. I wish I had challenged this at the time with the manager, however my wife and I were so tired of waiting to be served our desert, we decided to leave the restaurant after immediately paying our bill. We will NOT be returning to...

honestly the rating might seem low but i don't have the highest standards.. I'm not very picky.

so let me explain why only 3 stars:

i felt very welcomed by the staff, especially David who took our orders and made sure everything was well.

the food tasted fresh and very nice flavours all across-the-board.

however, the grilled octopus was very tough - i know octopus tends to be chewy, but this was literally uncuttable. only made worse by the cutlery tbh. it was tasty though. wouldn't recommend if your teeth are weak...

the 2nd star im taking off is for a bit of a disorganised service. a lot of the dishes weren't available, payment by card wasn't available, our dessert took a very long time to arrive - i think they must have forgotten about it.

all in all, not the highest quality, but also not the lowest. the food is genuinely tasty, maybe we just came...
