Went to see “Promethea” by Julia Smith at this amazing theatre. The play was INCREDIBLE! A perfect mix of absurdism and clarity, of humor and angst, of social commentary and the pains of everyday life - all through a feminist and queer lens. And the space of the theatre itself was very welcoming. At first, it feels like being invited into someone’s house above a noisy pub. Then, the space of the theatre itself erases the boundary between the audience and actors, making the events of the performance feel closer and more intimate. I will definitely be back for more of Julia Smith’s plays - and the theatre was lovely (^^)

Wee fringe theatre in the top room of pub in busy chaotic Camden. Tiered and comfortable padded benches. Take up as much room as the performance area. Saw a one man show Gotta Have Faith. Wasn't really my cup of tea. But lovely seeing a live performance impromptu with a friend who'd planned attending.

Arrived 15 minutes late to find the entrance closed with a sign saying no late entries - something not mentioned on my ticket. I’d like a full refund. A real shame. I spent 3 hours traveling to see my friend perform, just to get this ‘greeting’…

The 'Oxford Arms' pub is home to the 'Etcetera' theatre. At the pub counter one (male) staff member turned his back on me and other staff were busy chatting to each other so I had to bang on the counter to get served. My small bottle of Prosecco was £9:50. No glass was offered, so I suppose I was expected to neck it out of the bottle. I had to ask for a glass. The staff didn't know anything about the theatre upstairs when I asked if there was a bar or seating upstairs.

I'm not impressed at all. Poor and rude service, asking me, sarcastically, if I was alright, and not having a heart attack, as if I was the one at fault, not their poor service. One day someone will have a heart attack but the staff will ignore them just as they ignored me at the counter!

I'm elderly, disabled and walk with a limp. I get tired easily and had already walked quite a bit around Camden having eaten at a nice Greek restaurant. The walk to the pub was quite a long one and I desperately needed to sit down when I arrived, as I was in pain. The bearded staff member was of an age where he should have known better really. Being ageist isn't a good trait to have when working in hospitality.

I shan't come here again and won't recommend it to friends. I hate poor and rude service.

Just to add that the ladies toilet was dirty and lacked any toilet rolls. What a place! The staff should check on the toilets shouldn't they?

The play was good but the staff here need to go on some training courses to be able to serve the...

My experience with these guys has not been great at all! They take ages to respond to enquiries then only respond the day before your meant to be in the venue.

Chasing them up in emails and calls only to be ignored while they are actively updating website and social media.

One particular staff member was quite rude and had a lot of anxt towards us on arrival, but the other two were really nice and calming..

Pay for a technician that comes in 30 minutes before your show - although this is in the contract, what can you do with 30 mins with a technician to prep a show - ended up barely using them and still paying, seems like a bit of a trap

Sending invoices and having no response from them for weeks is highly unprofessional and personally I wouldn’t opt for using this space again just off of first impressions

The pub downstairs were pretty cool and helpful and so were the front of house staff and technician but not a great experience...

Such a disappointment! Having been coming here for about 30 years to appear in and support plays in the theatre above the pub, I invited my Iranian friend and her son. I mention her heritage because I wonder if this would have happened if they weren't so shy and standing out as different. My friend rang me before I arrived to explain that they had been told to wait outside in the cold because her son was 16 not 18. THEY WERE BOOKED TO SEE A SHOW IN THE THEATRE!!!! On my arrival, I said to the staff we were all there to see the show, the 16 year old was not ordering any alcohol and we were very shortly due to go upstairs to the theatre. They said, on speaking to me, a white middle aged woman, that my friend's son could stand in the pub to drink his water before going up to the theatre but must leave immediately after the show. Don't worry, we left after the show and will never be...
