This arcade is fun for a once off visit, do not take it further. For people who care a lot about Pump It Up and have money to binge it, go to the right machine, it's the only notable thing about it.
The prices for this place are insane. They have since doubled in the last few months for things like Pump it Up, costing 16 coins per credit, with 200 coins being £20. You're paying 1.6x the price of any other place that has this machine. This is also coupled with the fact that machines are often left broken for months, whilst still allowing payment to be taken, nor are there any "Out of Service" signs.
The people who visit this place are awful too. I was recording a session of Pump it Up when 2 children decided to start grabbing and messing with my phone on it's tripod. I very calming put my arm between them and the phone and asked them to leave it mid game. Suddenly, I had 2 large men menacing and insulting me, and one older woman doing the same to my partner.
We argued, and it got heated with no security in sight. Luckily they left, but not before the older woman KICKED my phone in its tripod, breaking the camera.
I went straight to security directly at this point to request them to accompany me to go talk with the older woman and men about compensation, where I was held in conversation and not allowed to confront them as they left the park. I have no idea who they were now, and because of the security teams choice, I now have a broken camera on a nice phone and nothing to show for it.
I want people to know the phone was recording this entire time, it had the entire situation on video, I showed security this, and nothing was done. They were not asked to leave, they were not confronted, I wasn't even allowed CCTV footage of the incident for a police report. In fact, the aggressors were actively protected as I wanted to confront them to request information or compensation for the broken camera.
So note, only come here if you have way too much money to spend and don't mind fighting for your own property against the other customers and the parks security. Go to Las Vegas Arcade in Soho if you want to...
Read moreWe attended during summer holidays as a family of 2 adults, 3yr & 9-11yr old, kids were very excited and couldn't wait to get on the games, a somewhat over whelming feeling myself as these places are my worst nightmare, but needs must during entertaining kids in the summer. We was greeted by the most energised member of staff, guiding us to the next level, with no pressure to purchase a card & nothing was to much trouble, which relaxed myself. The next level was suited for younger children with a softplay area. It took us some time to workout the card system and what was the best option for vaule, with no help from a second member of staff who was polar opposite to our first one. The card system is not clear & how much games/rides cost in real money .. I feel this is important as you feel somewhat ripped off, if the concept is not clear. I purchased a £25 card which did last 2 kids at least 2hours I would recommend purchasing two separate cards so they could do their own thing. The bottom level is full of games some of which you can win tokens on, but this is not clear. The staff on this level were not very helpful & an attitude of face bothered which doesn't Bode well when your entering a roller coaster ride with a 3 yr old, & when asking a question you get stared at as if to say how dare you ask questions. The second time on the rollercoaster was for the older kids & face not bothered staff member processed to drop the card down into the abyss of mechanics of the machine, with no explanation we was lefted standing there as she walked off. After sometime & waiting for another member of staff to explain what happened we was then rewarded with a new card & points remaining with few extra added for inconvenience. Overall the kids had a great time & request for a revisit is on the cards, in the hope of a better understanding of the cost. @babylonparkcamden please do look into training staff efficiently to ensure they are welcoming & have knowledge on the card system vaule & rides. Also the app did not work & was unworkable inside the...
Read moreCame here for the first time for my daughters birthday, Bad reviews as I had a accident which was no fault of my own to the point had to go hospital the next day, shredded my whole leg on the escalator. Customer Service was poor as it took over 10mins before someone came to assist me. When I was seen all the staff seem to be running around not knowing what to do,after 30 mins plus someone came to my aid to patch the damage and at the same time all I was offered was 150 coins. I had to spend the next 2-3 hours lipping which was very uncomfortable for me but didn't want to spoil it for my daughter who is 4 yrs old. Some of the games wasn't working which was a disaster 😕. One of them being the candy machine. For the money that was spend I think personally could of been better, Saying that I still have credit on the card, I'm not sure if I even want to bring my daughter back as we travelled far. The escalator was moving too fast which I belive they knew this and tried to cover the fact this was the problem to my injury, I'm in the process of taking some kind of action for the lack of support, I think if Customer Service support is trained correctly this place has potential. My concern is my injury is the same leg I had a blood clot. It could of been my daughter that could of been badly hurt to why I'm taking this further, its going to take weeks before I'm healed properly, my confidence isn't great as I don't want any contact on my leg as it hurts as lot .I suspect this review will have them not deal with this matter properly and professionally but will see as it going to take two weeks for them to give me a response to what they will do, I take customer service really seriously and I'm not sure what there code of practice is but will find out in due course, my daughter had a good time which was the main reason...
