I’ve been staying here on and off for six weeks including a stretch of a month. I’m honestly blown away by how great this place is.
First of all, the rooms. I’ve stayed in 4 different rooms here and they vary slightly, but they all have everything you need. It’s all so much better than a hotel in that you have a full sized fridge, a hob and a toaster in the room. Also a sink (complete with tea towels, washing-up liquid and a brand new scourer; it’s the little things)! They even have a little Robert’s radio which I really appreciated. Then downstairs you have access to a laundry room where they provide detergent. They’ve thought of everything!!! Beds are super comfortable and the shower pressure is great!
Next, the aesthetic. It’s really stylish and the communal areas are super relaxing with lovely low lighting. There’s also a little TV room as well as a lovely kitchen with a big communal table where you an enjoy the complemtary breakfast. This area leads to a garden which is super stylish and very quiet, and, la crème de la crème, a gorgeous little yoga studio where you can do your own yoga and also attend complementary classes.
Next: the location. Quite simply, it’s amazing. You’re right next to Regent’s Park and Primrose Hill. Then there’s Primrose Hill village with gorgeous places like The Greenberry Cafe, Cowshed Spa and Primrose Hill Bookshop. You also have multiple cute little pubs nearby. It’s a very safe and quiet area but also it’s really easy to get everywhere that you might need, like the west end.
Last, but very much not least: the staff. They really are incredible. They are super friendly, highly empathic and all round just delightful. They make you feel very welcome, very held and very safe. They are super kind and accommodating. I recently met the Founders of Mason Fifth at a party and they are lovely. It’s all makes sense; culture begins at the top
It’s the fact that they’ve though of everything that really makes you feel looked after. Plus, of course, the amazing staff .
Oh, and did I mention free wine on Fridays? What’s...
Read moreWhat a novel and forward-thinking way to present (did I mention affordability??) accommodation in central London! I was so chuffed to have learned about Mason & Fifth as an alternative to a regular hotel stay in London on my recent visit back to the borough where I lived for 12 years. I cannot stop taking about it to anyone who will listen…so listen here Google review readers…book your stay now as rooms will fill up fast!
Location = 5 🌟 (who wouldn’t want to find themselves in leafy, gorgeous Primrose Hill at the junction with Regent’s Park? Buses, Tube, Uber, walking, options abound) Rooms = 4 🌟 (only because the shower leaked quite a bit on the floor and feared tiles would eventually start to wear quickly. But very comfortable rooms - cosy and quaint but spacious enough for two. Well-thought out, and much more included than a normal hotel room - rooms come with a fridge, tea kettle, coffee maker, hob!!!, dishes and cooking utensils) Staff = 5 🌟 (not only friendly and super accommodating, they operate by WhatsApp and your wishes become reality within minutes of a request/query. Did I mention how easy-going and accommodating- even when you need to drop or store bags because you checked in too early 🫢?) Facilities = 4.5 🌟 (washers/dryers free of charge, need to bring your own soap, irons, ironing boards, downside was no clothes dryers to hang washing on; large, “does it all” coffee machine in common area, fresh baked cookies upon arrival, breakfast included, non-dairy/vegan options, yoga studio, green, secluded garden, co-working, sitting room spaces so comfortably situated and spacious. Individual room doors could do with a “quiet close” enhancement as some guests really come and go, and having lots of “door slamming” isn’t great when you’re trying to get some rest)
I may come back and update this post as I think of more good things to say.
Can’t wait for my next trip to London to stay at...
Read moreThere are places and lodging and there are destinations. Thoughtfulness goes into every detail and interactions at Mason & Fifth. There is a feeling – a sensation that meets you upon the open door and reception area. I would return to the UK from New Mexico just to stay at Mason & Fifth (M&F).
Words, to describe my three nights at M&F: harmony, connection, beauty. In my mind, harmony and connection are the ethos of M&F, from the communal areas to the gorgeous live breakfast foods to the generosity and beauty of the hosts themselves.
These are things that do not come though still photographs on the internet. It’s an experience. An unanticipated benefit were true, authentic human connections (that I feel may grow into true friendships) and concierges in Henna, Aoife, Elizabeth.
Location is unmatched for those seeking to experience London as a Londoner with super convenient access to bus and Underground stations. Primrose Hill is a feast for the eyes and Regent’s Park is an oasis.
The rooms are well-curated, clean, and offer all you need, see opening reference to Intention. Those are details you can see and explore through their online bookings.
I strive to live an intentional life and share/vocalize the positive thoughts and ideas that come to me. This review is that and that is more important than the fact that I may be complicating my next arrival due to increased bookings. The truth is, I want everyone to thrive and uphold that the mindful ones do so with greater ease.
You should experience M&F for yourself. Perhaps we’ll share breakfast together when I return. I’ll be...
