The living room is a very lovely space, very bright room (which was good for photos) as it’s directly on the side road. It was very homely, you know, we had the place for ourselves moved around as we wanted with no hindrance. The fee was affordable as well as it was a weekday event- i wish I paid for more time as my people were very late🤨 The kitchen looked stuff- microwave and stuff though I didn’t use any of those. The loo had sufficient tissues.

My issue with the place was it was really noisy and we could hardly hear each other (I didn’t realise it was on a busy commercial road) and it was very hot so doors had to be left opened (and I didn’t appreciate this as people kept looking in, someone even came to stop our event to ask questions about giving a free table). I also think for really hot times like this more cool fans should be invested in so that all areas of the room both upstairs and down was covered. The loo also didn’t have an air fresher even the main rooms- just to give a nice scent The windows could not be opened as well. Lastly it is very weird that no provision for emptying bins are available, I mean am I expected to carry dirt all the way back to East London on a public transport? It will be nice if the owners know places around and recommend To people as I don’t live in the area at all.

We had to make the best of the day in the hot weather (I don’t blame the venue...

I last minute booked this space last week for my son's 2nd birthday party as I was originally meant to do this in my parents garden but due to the bad weather conditions I wanted something indoors. I contacted the venue and fortunately they were available the following day and the booking process was easy. The space was left clean from the previous event and I liked how there was a lot of natural lighting in the room and that furniture was provided (4 tables and lots of fold up chairs) I would describe the room as a blank canvas so if you are holding an event you will need to dress it up. There is a track provided which is hung along the top of the walls which will allow you to hang anything. We also had the use of downstairs which felt homely however it did feel a bit stuffy as there were no windows. - Fans are provided though. You will be able to park for free on the side roads outside which was great and made it easy for me to unload things in the car. Overall we had a great experience using this venue and I would recommend, however the only down side was that you have to bring all your rubbish with you as there are no facilities to dispose of waste near by. Thank you for accommodating us last minute, the place worked very well for our occasion and we were happy we went ahead with...

Once again the hiring this venue at The Living Room Streatham came up trumps for my dad’s surprise 80th birthday party. It was the ideal intimate venue to host such an amazing and beautiful evening.

Thank you so much for making our surprise day so amazing.

I would like to thank James again for all is help from the day I enquired about booking the venue. Nothing was ever too much to ask for, and questions were always answered super fast. I couldn’t have asked for a better day, or a better venue. It really did exceed all exceptions of how the venue looked on the day, and how the day came together after I decorated the venue.

I will always recommend the living room to anyone looking for a small venue.

Everything was clean and we were able to use the facilities fully. Chairs, tables were provided. I was allowed to hire extras eg tableware etc to add to the evening.

The living room is an idea venue for all your event needs. Will definitely use again. Wish I could post...

The host was accommodating, professional, and helpful. The entire booking process was straightforward, with all the necessary information and instructions provided. The venue is easily accessible from the curb, making it convenient to access the building and offload equipment. Decorating the space is simple, as there is a metal track from which you can hang decorations. The cupboards are stocked with essential items such as a vacuum cleaner, mop, cleaning supplies, tea towels, and cups. In the kitchenette, you will find two kettles, a microwave, a fridge, a sink, and an oven. The sofas can comfortably seat around eight people, while the tables and chairs match the crisp white decor and can accommodate up to 20 people. There is a banister staircase leading down to a cozy area, which, although lacking windows, creates an intimate atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed hosting our special family Christmas in the living room and would not hesitate to book another event there in the future.

I feel so lucky I found this venue to host my 30th birthday party. It gives you a cosy and private feel, perfect for dancing, playing your own music and hanging out with your friends until late evening. It is a true blank canvas to decorate however you want. I hired a few purple uplighters and it created such a cool vibrant atmosphere. The oven was so handy for making quick pizzas on demand for hungry guests. We used the microwave for popcorn. The small fridge, perfect for keeping the cake and drinks in. I can't speak highly enough of the venue owners who have been communicative throughout my planning, and were always super helpful when answering my questions - so don't hesitate to get in touch with them!
