It is a very very amazing place the bus stop is St Leonard's Church just continue straight and swimming pool will be on your right you will see the big park and the big parking space. During the very hot days it gets really cloudy and water maybe little dirty but that's not a problem when you consider all the benefits it's and all the friendliness of staff security and lady at the reception who gives the keys and keeps it's our personal belongings. They really and truly keep them safe I leave my phone there are there because it's risky to bring it in a packed swimming pool area. I have never had a problem and I never lost an item plus the crowd that visits this swimming pool is very very friendly and I have not once seen any unpleasant events. Security is very very friendly and professional and lifeguards are always there so there is no fear of drowning at all. Water can be little bit cold sometimes but it is just right when the temperature is really high. Also the reason for water being little bit chilli is the fact that they change water all the time and day at minimum chemicals which is really healthy for swimmers. Overall I give it 20 out of 10 stars because that's my favourite place to hang out in summer and I hope that this year 2022 we will also be able to relax swim and sunbathe like we used to do before the shuffle pandemic. Thank you everybody who work in Tooting Bec Lido swimming pool for making my experience great. Every hot day I am always there are there and I'm always leaving the swimming pool with a big smile on my face thank you all so muchšš„°šš also I forgot to mention it's highly friendly for people with children and you can bring your own little floating things for children they will definitely have fun also there is food and drinks and food is absolutely delicious. The best place for a day...

The main changing room where the toilets are were a bit stinky and very, very wet. So make sure to take flips flops.
There are single cubicle changing rooms situated in a group of chalets on the left hand side of the lido. So you can stay dry over there.
It was very, very busy and now as the user of a walking stick..I was very disappointed to find that there we no loungers or sun chairs for hire.
So it was pretty much towels on the floor. Which was a nightmare for me. As once I get down on the floor I can't get back up. So I go stuck at one point. Then every space is taken up with bodies. So there isn't much space between you and the next person..But most people are friendly and the kids are going wild, running up and down.
Then, when I attempted to get in the cold, cold water, at the shallow end..I found the metal stairs very rickety and slippy. So I didn't feel very confident climbing in our out.
So my honest opinion is that this place needs a bit of updating. But otherwise the staff are lovely, the life guards do keep an eye out from their strategic positions and even told off my granddaughter from messing about. Which I was very grateful for.
And there is a very busy ice cream van and a place where you can get snacks and drinks. And for 2 oysters and a lolly, I paid £10.50. Which was a bit expensive but we did take a picnic lunch..As I didn't want to get caught out spending too much money..
Overall, I would return. But possibly on a day when there aren't so many adults in ratio to families with children..As you just can't find any space to put...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām shocked at the number of good reviews here. Went at 11am on a sunny Sunday and we queued 1hr 40 mins to get in...! Absolutely ridiculous. They had two cashiers in operation working at a glacial pace and one member of security checking bags for a venue with 600 capacity.
We donāt mind a bit of a wait as understand the weather has been particularly good but entrance was incredibly inefficient and once you get in you feel like you have been admitted to hell on earth. No space on the ground to lie down other than pretty much next to the turnstiles to enter/exit so we had to pitch up there and have everyone walking past us constantly. Screaming children everywhere. You have to sit right next to other groups/families and all feel like you are pretty much sitting on top of each other.
Luckily before we went in, I bought a bottle of water from the ice cream van nearby, as when we got in there was a long queue at the cafe which never died down from 1pm-6pm. At peak lunch it was about 45 mins long even if you just wanted one drink. The place could really benefit from a couple of vending machines? At its quietest that I saw, 5ish, the queue was at least 20 mins long at the cafe. So you queue for hours outside to just keep queuing inside.
The pool is relatively clean, Iām sure on a quiet day it can be quite nice but if itās sunny and on a weekend, there are plenty of London lido alternatives which are a less stressful...
