It is the portal to the Thames where my granddaughter and l converted our voucher to City Cruise tickets for a lazy late afternoon ride up to the Tower of London. The Waterman's non stop banter en route was humourous and well received, if not always understood, by most of the tourists on board. The weather was perfect and we chose to abandon our indoor seats for most of the return trip to experience first hand the wind in our hair and the water spray on our face. A great way to pass a couple of carefree hours.Big Ben looking on with sage like approval and crossing Parliament square to encounter a coach n horses with white feathery plumes was an exciting extra bonus.

Unfortunately I don’t remember the boat company that I went with but it was amazing. The captain is just not a certified captain he’s not certified comedian. The guys been doing this for many years and I recommend to look at the phone that I’m gonna post and we see that captain go to his boat and ride his boat assistant is as well they are good at his job and do not forget tip that bucket and do not break the tradition I will not tell you how amazing the trip was or what he said you will have to experience it yourself it’s a cheap way to see London especially as a solo traveller

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. An embarrassment to the city of London - the pier is being run by young individuals who don’t seem to be able to understand English.

There were around 100 people on the pier waiting 20 minutes to board a boat from Westminster to Greenwich.

When the boat came, these people running the pier let 20/30 people on a boat that was 70-80% empty, leaving a growing queue of people on the pier to wait 30 minutes for the next boat.

The individuals managing the pier would then repeat the process of letting only 20-30 people on, leaving most behind, to wait for now an hour total.

The problem? NOT ONE of these young people running the pier told anyone in the queue that they wouldn’t be making it onto any of the next 2,3,4 boats, moreover that all of the next three boats were each running 20 mins late, so in fact the third boat would arrive in 1hr 45 minutes. Unreal.

The people ‘managing’ the pier were content to leave everybody totally in the dark.

After a completely wasted 45 minutes and after watching two boats leave more than half empty , we left and took a taxi.

We nearly missed our appointment to an...
