I had the pleasure of celebrating New Year's Eve in London with the captivating London EE event, and it was an unforgettable experience that surpassed all expectations. From the dazzling fireworks display to the lively atmosphere, the celebration was a perfect way to bid farewell to the old year and welcome the new one.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the stunning fireworks show that illuminated the iconic London skyline. The choreography of the fireworks was impeccable, creating a mesmerizing display of colors and patterns that reflected off the Thames River. The breathtaking views of landmarks like the London Eye and Big Ben enhanced the magical ambiance, leaving everyone in awe.
London EE did an excellent job in ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for the attendees. The organization and crowd management were commendable, allowing us to navigate the event comfortably despite the large turnout. Security measures were well-implemented, providing a sense of safety without compromising the celebratory spirit.
The entertainment throughout the evening was diverse and kept the energy levels high. Live performances from talented artists, DJ sets, and interactive activities added to the festive atmosphere. The eclectic mix of music catered to various tastes, ensuring that everyone found something to enjoy.
The venue choice for London EE was perfect, with strategic locations offering different perspectives of the fireworks. Whether you were dancing the night away at a riverside party or enjoying a more intimate setting in a rooftop bar, each location provided a unique and memorable experience.
The food and beverage options were varied, with a range of delicious offerings to satisfy every palate. The vendors maintained a high standard of quality, ensuring that the culinary experience matched the overall excellence of the event.
As the clock struck midnight, the atmosphere reached its pinnacle with the grand finale of the fireworks. The synchronized explosions painted the night sky in a breathtaking display of light and sound, marking the beginning of a new year with a sense of unity and celebration.
In conclusion, London EE on New Year's Eve delivered an exceptional event that will be etched in my memory for years to come. The perfect blend of entertainment, stunning visuals, and a well-managed environment made it a top-notch celebration. Read moreThis is without doubt one of the worst organised experiences I've ever had in all my years of travel. My Son and I were in London for the Beyoncé concert and only had a few hours in London on Friday before our flight home. We pre-booked our tickets for The London Dungeon and The London Eye in February, the Dungeon for 11am and the Eye for 1.15pm, so we had time to get refreshments between.
When we joined the queue for The Eye at around 12.45pm, it was clear that we would be queuing for far, far longer than the little time we had left in London would allow. There were hundreds and hundreds of people waiting, no queues for specific times, and people just queuing in no particular order.
As it got closer to 1pm, one of the members of staff started to call people forward for the 1pm slot and I took the opportunity to ask what time we, with our 1.15pm tickets could expect to be queuing and the staff member told us that she couldn't say, sometimes it can take an hour to 90 minutes once you join the queue. I told her that I'd need a refund on our tickets because we were heading back to the airport and, perhaps naively, I'd assumed the whole point of being asked to choose a time when booking was so you got a time that suited you best.
This is where the only positive thing about our London Eye experience occurred. The Staff member asked us to come with her, she apologised that it was not as organised as it could be and walked us to the Fast Track queue, which was significantly shorter. If she hadn't taken pity on us, we'd have missed the experience entirely.
I'm not sure how many people one of the gondolas can hold, but there were only 12 on ours and I feel like at least another 2 people could have fitted on comfortably because the one in front of us had at least 15 or 16 on it as part of a school trip. If the queue was organised better, staff shouting for solo or duo passengers when they know a gondola is going to be under filled then maybe people wouldn't be queuing for up to 90 minutes for a 25 minute attraction.
Also, once you're up in the gondola, that's about all there is to it. If there was some kind of audio input, like look to the left, you'll see Westminster and Big Ben or some historical information about the buildings you can see, even something about South Bank where it's located, it would be more interactive and worth the exorbitant ticket price.
Overall, I'm glad I've done it now, but I'd definitely not choose to repeat the experience because the best thing about it was the...
Read moreAn unforgettable experience and one of London’s most iconic attractions!
The London Eye is an absolute must-see if you’re visiting the city. Standing tall at 135 meters (443 feet), it’s Europe’s tallest cantilevered observation wheel and offers spectacular 360-degree views across London. From the top, you can spot famous landmarks like Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, St Paul’s Cathedral, The Shard, Tower Bridge, and even as far as Windsor Castle on a clear day.
Each capsule is spacious, fully enclosed, and air-conditioned, comfortably fitting around 25 people. The rotation is slow and steady, lasting about 30 minutes, giving you ample time to take in the views, snap photos, or just relax and watch London stretch out below you. You never feel rushed, and the pace is great even for those a bit nervous about heights.
What really stands out is the smoothness of the experience – from the calm ride to the helpful staff, everything is well-organized. You can also choose from standard tickets, fast-track options, or even private pods for special occasions like birthdays or proposals.
Located along the South Bank of the River Thames, the Eye is surrounded by a lively area filled with street performers, food stalls, cafes, and attractions like the Sea Life Aquarium and London Dungeon. It’s a great place to spend a few hours before or after your ride.
A few tips: • Book online in advance to avoid queues, especially during weekends or school holidays. • Try to visit around sunset for the most magical views as the lights of the city begin to glow. • Don’t forget to explore nearby spots like Jubilee Gardens, which is perfect for relaxing or taking some riverside drone shots (where permitted).
The London Eye is more than just a ride – it’s an experience that gives you a new perspective on this incredible city. Whether it’s your first time in London or your tenth, it...
