Firstly, I would like to say there are mixed information with the staff, when entering, the staff said that photos were allowed, as we started the experience, another staff member told everyone to turn off their phones, smart watches and no cameras were allowed throught the tour, to which they were quite rude about it.
Also I would also like to say to management, what has insulting people got to do with the whole experience? I was called "Stupid" by one of the staff there, The Jester. Another person on the experience was called "Ugly" and my wife was called "A Freak" by the bakery lady (from Sweeny Todd area), this is not funny in the slightest. It didn't end there, the insults kept coming throught the tour, I don't find this entertaining and should be calmed a little. It's not needed especially how sensative people are these days.
There are NO warnings as you enter the premises, for epilepsy or if you are of a nervous disposition! if you don't like smoke machines etc. I know you are going into a scary enviroment, but you don't know to what extent! we was not aware that people would jump out at you from dark corners (as it is already dark and can't see very well moving around the various areas) and scare the hell out of you. If you have younger kids who scare easily...avoid! I took my 10 & 13 year old children, both was scared throughout, because it's an emersive experience, which again we was not told and no signs tell you this. I visited as a kid when it was at Tower of London, it was a walk around experience and no one was jumping out at you, you could walk around freely! and it was more like a darker, scarier experience to Madame Tussauds, This current experience, you are stopped at each stage to be taken through a whole theatre play type of experience, telling a story of a mixture of history and fictional characters like Jack the Ripper and Sweeny Todd. While we were there a staff member was kicked as they entered a cage where someone (member of the public) was placed, lights went out and almost scared the poor women to death as the staff member entered the cage with her, honestly, anyone would lash out. So to be honest, i'm not surprised they were kicked.
For this incident, our tour of that part of the experience was cut short, no apology, no discount as we didn't see the rest of this part of the tour. We were moved on after at least 5 minutes of sitting in a room with no instructions or guide to tell us what was happening. After a short while, a member of staff came into the room to tell us what had happened, that the staff member who entered the cage had been kicked, were were being moved on to a different area to continue the tour.
For me personally, it wasn't scary, it was an ok experience. I just think the insulting people is too much, it's not needed at all.
I think the whole experience needs a rethink. Be upfront about what you are walking into, who the experience is NOT for and warn people there are lots of flashing lights, smoke etc my son at one point almost puked by the amount of smoke that was pumped out into a room, it...

Buying a ticket was easy as I got my ticket via Tesco Clubcard points, though tickets are expensive £33 per adult. This can be a good gift to someone.
We went Monday 2:30pm pre book and it was not too busy, in fact it is good when there are more crowds because it makes the experience more fun.
We had no queue time, except when you are going into the experience which is meant to be and normal.
EXPERIENCE The experience is truly amazing and I thank all the actors and actresses involved because they put their character and talent to good use. Their movements, voices, accent was top notch and suited the old 1660 hundred England time.
My favourite part of the experience was the witch hunt, and my least favourite part was the Apple Pie bakery because it didn't really show much fun stuff.
One thing I like about this experience is, it isn't not just all about scary moments but it highlights the key changing moments of the History of England. Jack the Ripper, the great 1666 fire that devasted nearly all the homes.
If anyone is visiting London or lives in London they truly need to experience this to see the history of England and its dark time.
You are not ALLOWED to use your phone during the whole experience for copyright reasons and people ruining the experience with the light that disrupts the darkness.
ATMOSPHERE From the moment you descend to the "fake" lift and exit, you can smell the aura and the stench of England and the Docks.
The design, decor and aesthetics of the whole experience was on point. I really love how the actors and actresses interacts with everyone, from the doctor spraying the kidney juice to the audience to locking some audiences in the cave.
And the use of darkness was amazing along with the strobe lights.
Also at the end of the experience, you end up in a bar which has a nice atmosphere and decorations. It really does invites you to buy and spend money at the bar. The drink Serpent Potion Lemonade tasted wierd because it has the smell taste of when you arrive at the London 1609 experience at the Docking. I don't know if it was intentional but it makes it so real. The butterscotch bervage which is 0% alcohol free, tasted nice but just felt like drinking butterscotch Monin.
RECOMMENDED OR NOT I highly recommend, it is a must to experience. The actors and actresses were elctrictying, making the experience so real and fun. The use of darkness, maze mirror, strobe lights, water sprays.
I wish the experience was longer but to tell you the truth, we went in around 2:20pm, and came out 15:47pm, which was a good length for the waiting and experience.
If you are going, you really need children and some women to make the whole...
Read moreWe were really hoping for a better experience, especially given the cost, we paid for 8 people, and unfortunately, none of us made it all the way through the attraction.
We arrived 10 to 15 minutes early, as instructed by our pre-booked tickets and confirmation email, but were told to leave and return at our scheduled time. When we came back just 3 to 4 minutes before our slot, we were told again to go away. There was nowhere suitable to wait, and we had already been standing in the sun. Despite standing to the side, out of the way, one staff member clearly didn’t like that we remained nearby and complained to another, who then directed us to stand directly in front of the ticket office, ironically blocking access there instead.
Once inside, we were placed in a packed, dark, and uncomfortably hot waiting area for at least 20 minutes. One member of our group began to feel faint from the heat and had to leave, with another going with them. It was hard to tell which staff were acting and which were genuinely being unkind. The photographers, for instance, were shouting at guests to move, even though we physically had no space to go. Another guest ahead of us voiced the same concern.
To be fair, the actors themselves were fantastic and clearly talented, but the overcrowding made the entire experience stressful rather than enjoyable. It felt like guest safety and comfort were sacrificed in favour of getting as many people through the doors as possible, regardless of whether health and safety standards were technically being met.
I personally felt faint at one point and was relieved when we were allowed to sit in a room. However, during the witch scene, there weren’t enough seats for everyone, so some of us had to stand in the corners. I was separated from my 12 year old daughter, as there were only two remaining seats, and not together. When I tried to have her sit on my lap, I was told no. The room went dark, and the “witch” loudly appeared right in her face, frightening her and prompting her to ask to leave. We all exited early at that point. To their credit, the staff were helpful in escorting us out.
Overall, this was not worth the money. While the performance element was strong, the organisation, crowd control, and lack of guest comfort left much to be desired. We expected a spooky, fun time, but instead left disappointed, overheated, and...
