The park itself appeared lovely but i was disappointed as I went with 3 young children (a 3 year old and 2 one year olds) with a buggy. I understood the walk to the lake wouldn't be easy as it is a natural environment but it was completely inaccessible which resulted in unhappy children. The fact that there was a restricted width entrance should have indicated this but I have been to other locations with the same restricted entrance and inside the parks have been fine. Read moreBeautiful 90 acre urban nature reserve with lake, stream, woodland & grassland. It is dog friendly and has a no cycling policy because of its sometimes narrow and winding paths. It's a delightful walk. There are no play areas or amenities, it is a place to enjoy nature. There are a few bird hides, insect hotels, bat and nesting boxes with closed off conservation areas. However, our second visit we went alone and must have taken every path less travelled and some trying to locate the exit until some kindly stranger guided us in the right direction,. We would still be there now had it not been for him! My only wish would be that there were more sign posts, as we would love to go again but are afraid of a repeat...
