Love this hidden secret. Beautiful unspoilt park with lovely walks. Great for dog walks, they even provide an emergency poo bags. The paths are more off track and rough although no problems for push chairs. Loads of animals, birds and insects can be seen.

So happy to see the fairy door I abandoned on 1st June 2025 is still there. It's been pulled off the cement but replaced at the base of the tree. If you find it please tag #kentfairies on Instagram or Facebook to let us know you've found it 🧚🌳 💗

The park itself appeared lovely but i was disappointed as I went with 3 young children (a 3 year old and 2 one year olds) with a buggy. I understood the walk to the lake wouldn't be easy as it is a natural environment but it was completely inaccessible which resulted in unhappy children. The fact that there was a restricted width entrance should have indicated this but I have been to other locations with the same restricted entrance and inside the parks have been fine. Really disappointed. I feel the website or signs should make it clear that routes are not...

Beautiful 90 acre urban nature reserve with lake, stream, woodland & grassland. It is dog friendly and has a no cycling policy because of its sometimes narrow and winding paths. It's a delightful walk. There are no play areas or amenities, it is a place to enjoy nature. There are a few bird hides, insect hotels, bat and nesting boxes with closed off conservation areas. It is well maintained. The reserve is NOT run by any council, but by a group of local volunteers. Great for a short off-lead...

Just magical. Our first visit was with our neighbours, which was lovely. However, our second visit we went alone and must have taken every path less travelled and some trying to locate the exit until some kindly stranger guided us in the right direction,. We would still be there now had it not been for him! My only wish would be that there were more sign posts, as we would love to go again but are afraid of a repeat...
