Went to the UK athletics championships but were really disappointed with the facilities. First of all it is very difficult to find and even Uber driver had no idea how to find it. We found out once there that free parking was available but this information was nowhere to be found prior to the visit. At the stadium almost all toilet facilities were portable toilets which were not in a great state by the end if the day. We had real covid concerns because of tge lack if cleaners. Catering options were limited, poor and incredibly overpriced. The event had no video screens so viewing of events apart from those directly in front if you was impossible. Read moreActual stadium well laid out and great athletics venue, directly adjacent to Etihad Stadium. Second visit for me. Unfortunately, visitors are poorly catered for in other respects. Refreshment /food options are poor, with just one over-priced burger bar. Covered picnic area, present a year ago, has now been removed. Toilet facilities consist of a row of depressing Portaloos. No merchandise on sale and little else to entertain or otherwise occupy the visitor. General area, around stadium quite run down. One lady nearly hit the man mowing the grass literally missing him by a metre and two young arrogant girls with their arrogant parents who weren't interested in throwing the hammer until people walked across the field to the long jump again almost hitting people..
