Lovely place to walk around whatever the weather. Just off the main road, on approach to the Lyndhurst high street, where you'll also find the supercar collection garage. You'll find an open space gravel car park with plenty of spaces. You can safely walk well-behaved dogs or children around the parkland amongst the beauty spot greenery and wild animals. Though dogs MUST be on leads to prevent accidents or anxiety of the ponies. You can often get within stroking distance of the ponies, but the donkeys were less interested in a fuss! This is a lovely place in the new forest. If you can get parking, then there's a nice walk around the area, good for dog walkers of course as it is in much of the forest. There are typically horses and donkeys in the area. It's only a 3 minute walk into Lyndhurst high street. I've been visiting this place my whole life. Thankfully, it never changes. Beautiful place. I love the sand pit, and I love catching a game of cricket on the green.
