Looking for somewhere to eat, our first choice was full already. Found this place on our walk and they had space.
We had the following items from the menu:
Starting with drinks: Coca-Cola: Came in a bottle and the glass was frosted. That made it really enjoyable.
Caramel Latte: My wife had this and she really liked i , can't comment myself.
Nutella Coffee: Really nice detail when it came with the Nutella on the edges, advised by the staff to stir for the sweetness as the Nutella settled on the bottom. Really nice, but the coffee was stronger than the Nutella so only a hint made it through.
Glass of milk: My daughter had this. Nothing special is milk, all of it was drank though.
Main courses: Bacon, Brie & Tomato: I had this in a baguette, they do have the option for pannini and sandwich if wanted. Really enjoyable and a fair amount of brie, good amount and well cooked bacon giving it a nice crunch. The baguette was definitely toasted prior to been served and was crunchy. It also came with salad and a bit of coleslaw. Overall really enjoyed it!
Tomato, mozzarella & pesto: My wife had this and she enjoyed it, I tried a bit as well and can say it s good, a little too much pesto though.
Egg sandwich (Kids menu): My daughter had this and she chose to have salad with it, which also had a bit of coleslaw. She enjoyed it and ate most of it.
Dessert: Scones: My wife had these and got tw , one with butter and another with clotted cream and jam. She thoroughly enjoyed these and my daughter also had some, she enjoyed these too.
Pancakes with Maple Syrup & Cream: I had these and they were amazing! Syrup was put in a pot to pour as you please. They were fluffy and tasty even without anything on the . Honestly my favourite part of my meal!
Overall it was a great visit and the reason for my 5 star review. Highly...
Read moreCharming place with a friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere- it reminded me of a typical neighbourhood cafe somewhere in mainland Europe. Food came in generous portions and at a reasonable price. My Croque Monsieur was cheesy and was absolutely filling. My partner's chicken strips were crispy and fresh and not at all greasy. I particularly love how strong the coffee is. Also, dogs are allowed in the garden which is a bonus as my partner and I usually go to Lyndhurst after walking the dog in the New Forest. This place is totally recommended and we will...
Read moreLovely staff is what makes this place. Although a little small, it does have an outside seating area, though pre warning; it can be a bit of a sun trap. I thought the food a little pricey but when i received it i felt i got what i paid for. Lovely clean, well cooked and just very impressed. Coffee was very good. My only gripe is i feel they could do more with that sun trap. But its very minor to pick on. I'd go back...
