OK so I gave this place some great reviews a while ago but now I'm afraid to say I'm disappointed. Sure there are measures in place for protection against COVID-19, but they really need to sort the whole queuing system. It's important to know that it's online bookings only at the moment, you can't just turn up. I say this because a few people did exactly that despite it being plastered on signage everywhere as well as on the website. You have to book your 'session' which are time slots of 10 minutes with an expectation that you'll be done in 45 minutes. My time slot was 1430 for 3 children. We arrived at 1420 and waited by the entrance near to where a temporary 'check in' gazebo has been erected. Thinking we were too early we waited patiently until just before 1430 when a member of staff approached to ask our name. At this point we were told there was a 15 minute wait ahead of us! At 1450 we were allowed to start our game. Now, last time I was here there were some very nice waterways all around the course, some even part of the course. It looked great and made the experience much more enjoyable. Today however, the waterways (man made btw) were all but dried up. It looked sad and tired like an abandoned theme park. Even most of the animatronics weren't working. The Volcano wasn't even smoking! How much of this is due to COVID-19? I have no idea. I suspect not a lot hence why I'm writing this review. People seem to have liked my last review which showed how nice it was, and it was......WAS!!
On the positive side, the greens are generally well kept although they need a good brush to get rid of the leaves, bits of bark etc. The holes are still good fun and can be challenging especially for younger ones. It's still a good place to visit and play a round of crazy golf. It just needs some attention and a better entry procedure so you're not waiting around. Get that sorted and you're on to a...

Mighty Adventures Crazy Golf is a great afternoon of fun for the whole family, though not a full day out. The disability access is fantastic—wide paths, bridges, and disabled parking right next to the entrance made it easy for everyone. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on a lead around the course and in the outside seating area, but not inside the restaurant unless they’re guide dogs. The realistic dinosaur/Jurassic landscape is some of the best I’ve seen, but it’s showing age— the volcano wasn’t smoking, the waterfall wasn’t working, and rivers/lakes had no water. I spoke to someone from the reconditioning team, and they’re fixing it soon, which is promising! Pricing is £8.50 per person (adult or child), but I think kids should be cheaper, and no family ticket (e.g., 2 adults, 2 kids) was offered. The Kitchen Club restaurant is reasonably priced with indoor seating and a rear outdoor decking area with stunning Iford Golf Course views, offering breakfast, lunch, and a bar. Free car parking is a bonus. I made a full video review on my YouTube channel, ScapeSeeker, to share more! Scores: Pricing 4/5, Family Fun 5/5, Food & Drink 4/5, Dog Friendly 4/5, Disability Access 5/5,...
Read moreThe crazy golf itself was quite fun. Most of the holes had some degree of challenge without being ridiculous, which meant my 7 year old enjoyed himself. We both scored a hole in one on the same hole, which delighted him. Some of the holes had physical obstacles like rocks, there were a couple which had jumps, and most had lumps and bumps (by design) which added to the fun. The staff were pleasant and apologised for the wait, which was no more than 10 minutes ( in school half-term that's really not too bad).
There were a couple of downsides though. Whilst the dinosaur decorations looked good from a distance, they were a bit tired up close ( some felt like they may have contained animatronics, but they were motionless), and the water features were lacking in H2O, as you can see from the pictures. We also saw what appeared to be speakers in rocks (presumably to play dinosaur sounds like another course I have played), but there was no sound. There was also an overflowing bin around halfway which had spilled some of its contents in the wind.
I was mildly disappointed by the condition, but not enough to take off multiple stars. I would definitely return if my son...
