The room (208) had been very recently refurbished and painted. The gloss paint on the front and bathroom doors and frames was still sticky to the touch and the smell was very strong and unpleasant. I developed a headache due to the paint odour and this interfered with my sleep throughout both night's of my stay. When I checked into the room, I immediately returned to the reception to raise the issue with Juan, who was very helpful, apologetic and offered me the option of another room (301). Unfortunately, room 301 had also been recently refurbished and painted, and it equally smelt of fresh paint. The gloss paint on the doors and frames was likewise sticky to the touch. Therefore, I remained in room 208 for the two nights stay, but it was an unpleasant experience and my ability to sleep was significantly affected. Whilst an email was sent to me after booking informing me of refurbishment work and potential noise, nothing was mentioned during or after the booking process regarding the recent painting of the rooms and the unpleasant smell in the rooms. It was clear that the rooms had been painted very recently as there were some paint marks still on the carpet and the TV power and antenna cables were disconnected and tangled behind the table that the TV was set on. This required threading the cables around the back of the table with some difficulty. The bathroom had no shower mat and I had to use the only hand towel that had been provided. Additionally, the entrance to the hotel was virtually surrounded by a very large puddle of rainwater, making it difficult to enter the building with my luggage from the parking bays without getting wet. Some drainage or a ramp would have been helpful. Customer service has subsequently offered a less than 50% refund, which is very...

Not Covid Compliant

Our stay with The Travelodge was okay. Not the cleanest room, entrance or car park. You have to register your car with reception otherwise you'll be billed for using the private car park. There is no lifts in the hotel. Safety catches on the windows so you can only open them to a minimum. There was 2 small towels for 2 adults and a toddler. Lumpy, as in stale, packet tea, coffee, sugar and UHT Milk. A disgusting smelling 'wash' on the wall in the shower. No shower mat, no wash cloth, bins were sticky and not clean. Half a toilet roll obviously left from previous guest. There is no way this hotel or our room was Covid Clean and sanitised. We asked for a room on the ground floor, as it was easier with our dog and toddler but really regret it as from midnight until 3am a member of staff kept coming back and forth to the cupboard next to our room, slamming the doors, jingerling keys and stomping about. We had driven 3 hours to visit friends in Bournemouth and wanted a good rest before a day at the beach but that didn't happen! We contacted reception the next day about the noise and the car parking but, the receptionist spoke minimal English and was rude and unhelpful. If you fancy a 1 night stop then stay here but with all the B and B's in Bournemouth, I'd spend a bit more and get a better night, cleaner room and the option of breakfast. The grounds aren't suitable for dogs neither. With the younger generation monging out in Burger King car park it did not feel safe at night. Would not recommend nor will I stay here again. The place needs knocking down...

Very DISGUSTING! VILE!!, GROSS!!! and DISAPPOINTING, yes it's a budget hotel but paying £100 plus per night. You would expect the basics a clean environment, the bathroom and toilet was so DIRTY!!! It was so worn out, even a PUBLIC TOILET is so much cleaner!

The toilet had horrible, disgusting black stain inside, which is capable of causing toilet infection, the sink is nothing to write about, very old grumpy worn out brown stained sink!

Then the shower cubicle is so VILE, UNHYGIENIC, black mould on the tiles...very disgusting! The carpet in the rooms was very tacky and faded, you can feel it stick to your feets because the carpet is dirty and dusty! Our feet was so dirty, from stepping on the carpet!

I reported the toilet situation especially to one of the staff (Michelle) she was so helpful, she deep cleaned the toilet, it took off some of the black stuff but not all especially the hard to reach area. But my goodness the entire place need a total RENOVATION!!! IT'S A RIP OFF!

It made out holiday not enjoyabl the experience is not pleasant at...

This was booked by office and the Travelodge idea of breakfast was the breakfast to go box, asked if I did not take it and get a refund as the hotel was next door to a Toby's that does all you can eat breakfast 🥐 for the same price and was told I couldn't WiFi was a joke, I do IT Support and still had issues staying online and watching streamed TV on the 48 hours WiFi code purchased The room and the hotel as a whole was dated and needs a refresh the carpet everywhere I looked faded and a bit what are thinking I have stayed in 2 other Travelodge's in Bournemouth and they were fine but this one is now closest to the office which is why it was picked but I had to go back to Bournemouth the following week and let's just I did not return to this hotel and cannot see me going back even if it means I have to get a taxi in morning to get to office For the amount they charged I just expected better

I don't understand how this is a one-star hotel. We stayed here for one night, Juan (John) on reception was great, very friendly and helpful. The carpark is free. You just need to put your vehicle registration into the tablet, and there are plenty of spaces. On site, there is a Toby carvery, and over the other side of the roundabout, it is a Harvester so easy for food in walking distance, and next door a petrol station. The only little problem was there was no lift that we could see, so we had to lug suitcase up two floors. Also, there was no lock on the door, which i didn't like. The room was clean and nice. The bed was comfy, and there were extra pillows if needed, plenty of towels. It's nice and easy to get to and at a good price.
