Take coins for parking! No pay by phone or card facilities. Cash in the local area is limited with 2 cash points and one which is charged. Change is a big issue at local shops and understandable given the amount of people who arrive (us included) with no coins. Great beach, huge tidal rise and fall. Great for crabbing. We launched our kayak from her and sailed to some local coves for a picnic. Loved it.

Great beaches here with rocks, sand, rock pools and surrounded by rugged cliffs. We find it more interesting when the tide is out, but it is always beautiful. The beaches do get quite busy in the summer holidays as you would expect. Parking can be found at different locations around the area and the town has plenty of places to get food and ice creams, etc.

Even though we love going into the sea, we never went in on this beach as we were too busy climbing and exploring all the rocks and coves etc. Nice little village. Parking can be a pain if you're in a campervan but we got a spot after about 10 minutes waiting. Great place if the kids love catching crabs.

I have a dog and find it fantastic we are able to still go on some lovely beaches but on Wednesday a lady was there with her family and a dog a brown greyhound. The dog was able to roam around freely all over the dog part of the beach it went up to people eating around other dogs on leads and then started walking towards the exit of the beach My husband told the lady who did not even get up to see what her dog was doing just carried on talking. The dog could have done a poop anywhere it liked and the so called owner was non the wiser. People were not impressed and kept looking to see if she was going to fetch it but no. Its hard to find a lovely beach where we can take dogs in summer along with children I don't have a child with me but picked up 3 dog poos not from my dog so children did not step in it. STOP BEEN SELFISH. WATCH YOUR DOG OR KEEP IT THEM ON A LEAD. letting your dog roam freely its not fair on others who consider ourselves lucky to be able to come to a beach and have a lovely day. If you cant do the above don't come to a dog friendly beach as you are spoiling it for other dog owners because soon all beaches will have dog...

Amazing beach. Tide was out. The downside was that we got hit with a flash storm and it became extremely dangerous whilst checking the rock pools with our daughter. Ridiculously strong wind and sharp hailstones came from nowhere and created a very scary atmosphere, especially with a 4 year old. I am a physically fit guy and I was being moved off my feet by the wind. We managed to get low behind a rock formation until we could move back near the open beach where although still strong winds the footing was much safe. These things happen and it's part of nature. It's part of the excitement even but with a child it's very different. Lovely place and I would guess it's brilliant in the...

Beautiful!! Make sure you have a chair or something to sit on as it's very rocky /stony, not sandy like some of the surrounding beaches. Plenty of little places to find food or drinks. Pub right by the beach and a fish and chip shop along the road. Surf shops where you can hire boards, SUPs, or kayaks! Unfortunately, we couldn't have the kayak we'd reserved as the conditions were a bit too choppy! That suited me as I'm a bit of a fair weather sailor. Didn't leave until 9pm. Watched the sun going down after a perfect,...
