Newberry Beach — Attraction in North Devon

Brilliant clear clean water and a shingle beach. Don't miss the sand much. Lots of friendly people using paddle boards, walking the dog or swimming like me.

The sun was out, it was a scorcher of a day and the water was lovely.

There were rocks around but the water was so clear you could navigate paths around them.

Not too crowded and everyone getting along offering others a go on paddle boards etc. Dogs playing along with each other and chasing balls in and out...

This beach is a real hidden gem. It’s quiet and peaceful, making it perfect if you want to avoid the crowds. It’s also dog-friendly, so most of the people you meet are fellow dog walkers, which gives it a really relaxed atmosphere. The beach is local to a small row of shops too, so it’s easy to grab a drink or snack before or after your walk. A lovely spot for both...

Stopped at Newberry lodge on passing through to Cornwall but to be honest we wished we had stayed there for longer , Lovely people great room 4 top of house superb view just like a penthouse amazing comfy bed that my wife wanted to buy , clean, just by beach and town pleasant little cove . will return for longer...
