I popped in hers briefly while the rest of the family continued their stroll around this little village.
I didn't go straight into the museum but I got chatting to the friendly and very informative gentleman at the front desk. He shared with various facts about the village. For instance I didn't realise that Combe means Valley and that Martin was one of William the Conquerer's generals who was gifted the village after the Norman invasion way back when.
He also told me that the one and only mail street which makes up the village is the longest in Britain. Not many people know that.
I would have invested the princely sum of £3 to visit the museum but the rest of the family had already moved on to get back to the car...
