Lovely clean long beach, but grandkids were upset they were not allowed in to swim due to the fallen debris (and the rough waves). So sandcastles and dog walks it was. No cafe and limited WC above near car park. No cafe but an ice cream man turned up in car park. A very steep sandy slope down to beach from car park so make sure you have your walking shoes on. A bit tricky for anyone with mobility issues and keep the kids and dogs away from the beach cliff which is it seems eroding. A very windy area so bedt to take wind breakers if you can. A young woman had a bit of a fright with the waves when she went out to swim while we were there so think there should be a clearer sign up for all to see perhaps? Fortunately we had googled it and wS aware...

A fantastic beach for fossil hunting. My advice, walk a mile or so up the beach during low tide. Look carefully in the wet rocks on the beach and you'll find loose belemnite fossil pieces frequently, and examples of pudding stone too. To find fossils in rocks themselves, stick close to the cliffs and look for freshly fallen rock. We found a lovely big chunk of flint with both a belemnite and isocrania on show side by side. It took us 2.5 hours to find it though! The kids loved it. There is a nice cafe and mini museum-display by the car park to rest and study your finds once you're done. The car park is pay and display but cheap - there is no other parking options except this car park. Highly...

Nice beach which is in the most part dog friendly, only a small section dogs not allowed which wasn’t a problem. Beach is a mix of sand and rocks and the dogs loved exploring in the rock pools and running on the sand. Sadly didn’t see any fossils! Maybe next time. Car park at top of the hill £3 for all day parking was reasonable and if attendant not available you can pay by cash or card at machine. Cafe here and toilets, although didn’t use them so can’t comment. Beach seems nice and quiet and not too many using it. Speaking to a local they said it is often a quiet at this beach. Coastal walks along the cliff top can be done from the car park also if the beach is...

Lovely day out. Nice little cafe and shop with fossil display. We arrived at high tide and guy in car park was nice enough to tell us and said it would be another 3 to 4 hours until rock pools were uncovered. But we stayed any way sea was choppy but people braved it and I sea a good amount of life guards. We went to find fossils but we're not experts found very little but had fun doing it. We was here for a good few hours the tide did go out maybe if we stayed longer we would of found more. Cromer is only down the beach so we went down there for fish and chips and to see the pier. There is walks along cliff tops either side but we stuck to the beach.
