Very surprised at this place. We went there on a whim because the weather took an unexpected turn from looking like it was going to pour down, to being sunny, bright and mild. Took our 2 little boys and they had such a great time. There are a few entrances around the whole area which is good. The little pond is full of ducks (of all kind), we had loads of dinosaur seeking adventures through the woodland walk, saw loads of grey squirrels which our 3 year old absolutely loved. The kids play park is one of the best we've been to in a long time. So much to do for young to older kids, so definitely worth a visit. There was even a large skate park just over from the playground, a huge sand pit play area, an outdoor gym just outside the kids play park also which seemed to have a lot of people using it. We went rather late so it wasn't open but there seems to be a cafe/restaurant right outside the park area with plenty of outdoor and what looks like indoor seating (shutters were down so I couldn't see if you could sit indoors). Overall a lovely day had by all, well worth a visit. We will...

This is a wonderful resource, very close to the centre of Wallsend. As a wheelchair user there are areas of the park it would be difficult for me to access: this is a geographical problem which, I imagine, would be impossible to rectify without spoiling the landscape. However, all is not lost as there are many more accessible areas. There is a good cafe on site, the food is reasonable and fairly cheap, which is good for families. There are lots of community events all year round, some indoor space is available for inclement weather. You can book some areas of the park for events, contact the local council for more information. Entrance to the park is free, there are disabled toilets available and dedicated disabled parking spots, but it is a residential area so in good weather you're probably better to park in Wallsend town centre which is well within...

I'm so lucky to have this park on my doorstep. I'm in most days walking my dog. It's a popular dog walking venue and everyone is friendly. There are plenty of different trails to mix up your walks. Loads of wildlife. The squirrels are plentiful and can be quite amusing. If you look carefully you might spot a kingfisher or the parakeets that have made the 0ark their home. The parks team do a fantastic job of maintaining the park so it looks great all year. The kids of Wallsend really have no excuse to say there is nothing to do, with the play area, walks, nature trails, skate park, basketball, tennis, cafe.. There's also regular activities on, or bands playing the bandstand. A super park. Come visit :)

Amazing park and beautiful landscape to enjoy It is an interesting place for people like me, who likes to unwind from technology and embrace the nature. This park offers all the basic amenities and good trails for short walks, is ideal for dog walking as well. The park has a recreational park and skating practice grounds. Never got a chance to visit the Cafe within the park, I am sure it will be good. I am not sure about the car parking situation because I used the metro and the park is just 10-15mins walk from the Wallsend metro station.
