Easter egg hunt 2025 - I don't think I could hate something as much as I hated this. First of all they book you in slots but people go through individually so even though our slot started at 9:30am and we got there for 9:25am we didn't get to start until nearly 10am. The young girl on the counter had the most "do not care attittude" and looked sick of her life. The route round did not have eggs but characters who held eggs and for the younger children this was just too much (family before us struggled just as much). The characters went from Spiderman, Elsa, Bluey, Chase from Paw Patrol, queen of Hearts, Mad Hatter and a pirate. To the credit of the poor sods who were doing the characters they were all kind and tried their best but the man who was dressed up as a Bluey was unbelievably unprofessional and weird. My daughter was clearly scared and I kept vocalising that it was a bit too much for her and we would stay a bit further back and wave but he kept blocking the way, getting in our faces and when I did not interact due to saying it was too much he rubbed my hair hair round for over 5 seconds messing it up. He did it with just enough force and for long enough for me to feel really annoyed and uncomfortable. That man should not be working with kids coz if me and my husband felt uncomfortable as hell around him then how do the kids feel? For £20 it was absolutely extortionate (considering they ask for £2.50 per adult on the door before they let you in despite buying only a kids ticket) this was unbelievably badly organised, awkward, uncomfortable and we will never ever ever come back. I can't communicate how bad this was! (On a final note, the man who played the Mad Hatter for the 9:30am slot on 19/04/25 was the most decent character and actually adapted how he was based on us saying it was too much and fair play to him for having the common sense to not keep getting in a toddlers face so well...
Read moreWe visited on a lovely April day in the Easter holidays. I couldn't help feeling that this place was overpriced, but we might have got better value for money if it'd been less crowded or with younger children. We were offered a day pass for £11.50 each for my two over-5s, which seemed a good idea at the time, but I don't think we justified the £23 spent, especially since I still needed to pay for my adventure golf ticket at £4.50.
The inflatable section was fun, and "unlimited", but there were only 3 options (2 big slides and an obstacle course) for the bigger kids, and long queues for all of them, so that had limited appeal. We enjoyed racing through the pirate maze, avoiding jets of water, which didn't take us long but earned a handful of choc coins, and I got to go in free accompanying my under-10.
The golf - what we were most up for - was a bit disappointing, looking the most tired of all the attractions. It could have been improved by better barriers between holes, as it was too easy to lose your ball onto the next course. And it was horribly crowded, with the people behind queuing up or even taking their first shot while we were gathered at the hole watching the first or second of our number getting their final shot! Bored children from the queue ahead kept running back onto our course and in the end we gave up after playing 12 of our 18 holes.
Our day passes included an ice cream per child, which was an opportunity to make us feel like the day pass was more then just the sum of its parts; i.e. where we could say we'd saved £1 with the pass. However the ice cream was "valued" at £2 for a plain soft serve, not specially big, no flake, just syrup. This felt like abuse of a captive audience and is why I knocked an...
Read moreEverywhere else was really good and well managed. My kids really enjoyed the maze and inflatable but we had a small issue at the golf. We spent £10 on golf which is reasonable price for what you get but we made it to hole three on the blue course which there was a little pond with a pool stick to fish the balls out if they go into it. My daughter went to take her turn and hit the ball to hard which caused it to go into the middle of the pond. We tried everything to reach the ball but we couldnt get it back so I sent my daughter to see if she could get another ball because it's not fun when she can't play. 2 minutes later she comes back saying she can't get another one without paying another £1. There were no signs saying u had to pay more money if u loose the ball. We obviously payed to get another ball because we had only done three holes. As we played on we found that most of the holes were placed next to water so it was always a risk that the ball would go into the pond. We felt a bit anxious because we didnt want to keep paying for a ball every hole. Some shots are set up to go into the pond because there was two pipes and one of them led to the hole while the other led straight into the water and u dont know what pipe it would go out of. Out of all the mini golf I've done with my family we never had to pay for another ball if...
