I've lived near to Wollaton all my life and have only just discovered this hidden gem. The area is teaming with wildlife and offers a great place for bird watching. Couple times I have now visited it has always been relatively quiet and offers some calm and tranquility, despite not being far from the city centre. Think it is one of my favourite walks in the local area.

Great place to go for quiet, some times I chat to the people but generally a place to go for peaceful solitude, larger wildlife like geese and swans can be disconcerting if dog's or small children are about but tbh one of my favourite places in Nottingham and to visit.

Nottinghams first nature reserve. An absolute hidden gem. Great variety of wildlife to see and only a short walk around the pond.

We had a lovely time, but the area needs some serious TLC. Was told that the water had been de-silted, but this was difficult to see. We're hoping the new season will bring new life to this childhood...
