Read moreJ&S NOTTINGHAM, I travelled from Chesterfield today to buy a considerable amount of new bike gear, including a helmet. Sadly there were four young boys working here that thought they were in a school playground, belching and deliberately up phlegm. I am no prude, behave like that with your mates, but we were customers looking to buy safety gear for motorcycling. Not only that but when two of these kids were selling a helmet to a guy, they gave him duff advice on helmet fitting, which was completely wrong. Then after he went to pay for ot one pumped hod arms and shouted yeeesh! As if winning a Basketball match in some cheesy American B-movie. I raised their attitude with them on the way out, and spoke to a female member of staff (who paid lip service with a leveled of disintetest). The manager picked up that we were unhappy and did follow us out to speak with us. He explained one of the lads was newly employed, but if so surely he would be seeking to be better than the others, tbh, being worse would be difficult. The manager offered to give us some money off if we returned, today or any other day, he did not want a poor review, but sadly money was not an issue, their behaviour and disrespect was. I live by my code and it's not one of accepting poor and...
Read moreI gave this a 4 star, but I do find it a strange one. What I mean by that is that with only 7 shops it ranges from 2 DIY stores and the others which are clothing with an Argos and Boots thrown in the middle. It just seems an odd makeup for such a small retail park. Compared to the other down the road (Castle retail park). But I do very much like the B&Q. The Argos are great with their customer service, but my favourite is the Outlet. They have a great range of clothing for him and her along with an excellent cafe. Food here is good and a very clean and comfortable place. If you do not want a cafe then there is a burger bar outside the B&Q which has been there for many years. Lets just hope someone can take over the old ToysRus building in order to bring more trade...
