Golden Ball — Restaurant in Oxford

Booked for a party after a Christening, booked for free but had to have the food catered by them. £250 for 70 ish people. The lack of food was disgusting!!!! 5 small trays sandwiches = 2x cheese 1x tuna mayo 1x chicken and sweetcorn and vaguely could have been a ham, not sure, food went too quickly 1 small tray cocktail sausages 1 small tray sausage rolls 1 small dish each of tomatoes, carrots and cucumber sticks 1 dish of veg spring rolls (run out very quickly) 1 dish chicken balls 2 medium quiches 1 dish of pale looking plain chicken drumsticks Will not recommend to anyone for anything other than a swift pint and put an embarrassing end to a lovely event. Ok, so we come from down south, found this pub via Google maps/review. After walking from our hotel was a little surprised by lots of shouting from the pub garden. Turns out people were playing aunt Sally a unique game to Oxford, and they were thoroughly enjoying. We got served in short order by a very friendly barman who had the time to chat with us as did a lot of the locals too. Had a very nice couple of pints, after which he offered to call us a taxi.
