Devonport Column — Attraction in Plymouth

"DEVONPORT COLUMN".......After a scenic walk around the spacious park at "DEVONPORT" with its wide paths, open green space, with avenues of mature trees + a few surprising historic time pieces dotted here + there, which you can discover for yourselves, walking along the 'high security wall' + sheltering from the fast moving 'rain sea squall', the 'TAMAR BRIDGE" completely disappeared in the rain haze........Seeking shelter, watching the frequent 'Torpoint Ferry Service' the arrival of a 'very expensive 'high tech' navy ship' (hush, hush), as it docks in the 'navy dockyard', with security boats from public + navy forces, all armed, securing its safe entrance, (billions of tax pounds), the rain stopped + the scene improved dramatically to a clean, clear ambient light......Continuing along the 'high security wall', surrounded by modern medium towers", their you can find, "DEVONPORT COLUMN"......An easily accessible area via your own vehicle, at transport stations, with 'naval' + 'civil' historic buildings, interesting structures, time pieces of history, cemeteries, heritage museums, clean, well kept parks + gardens, with the local wildlife species of trees + the many animals that live there......." DEVONORT COLUMN"......its over there...

A spiral stone staircase with lots of steps to climb to get to the top, but the view is worth it...
