Worth a short detour if you find yourself using the Torpoint Ferry. Hillside urban park situated between Devonport and Dartmouth giving views over the River Tamar at a pinch-point which forces some large naval ships onto the end of your camera lens. Distant views of the Royal William Yard and on the opposite bank, Mount Edgcumbe. Well surfaced but steep paths lead to the Mount Wise Observation Tower. No charge for entry, free parking in James Street, a refreshment kiosk is open in season on...

Must visit Jolly Jack's whilst your there. Good food, coffee and wine. We walk past the cricket grounds and arrive at the tower with spectacular views from Torpoint....the dividing river....Mount edgecombe...the sound....William Yard....the city and Devonport. 360 degrees of history of the city. Walk on down towards Mount wise pools on right and Richmond walk on left. Go kayaking, water boarding, sailing, swimming, dog walking, you willnlove it. Best bit of Plymouth...

Its a free pool open to the public. Its pretty clean, salty sea water. Its perfect for kids without the hassle of sand. You get some interesting people too 🤣🤣. Great fun and well managed by the people that work there. Probably the only good public service delivered by the council in the UK. Be sure to get there at least half an hour before seasion starts to avoid disappointment as they have a maximum capacity of around 120 and it fills...

Nice for walking with amazing views. Great for kids if they learning to ride a bike or scooter as it's flat. There are ping pong tables just by the playground. There is also out door gym. Plenty of parking around. Swimming pool is really good, water is very salty. There is long wait and you might not get in. There was colour band system to let people in. There are toilets and showers available. There is disabled access ♿
