Palmer Park in Reading is a gem of open space and lush greenery that offers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. This park is beautifully maintained, with vast expanses of grass, vibrant flower beds, and plenty of mature trees that provide ample shade on sunny days. It’s an ideal spot for a leisurely walk, a picnic, or simply to relax and enjoy nature.
I recently attended the Classic Ibiza live festival at Palmer Park, and it was an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere was electric, filled with the buzz of excitement and joy from attendees of all ages. The event was well-organized, with plenty of facilities to ensure everyone had a great time.
The music at Classic Ibiza was phenomenal. The DJ set kicked things off with some fantastic Ibiza tunes, getting everyone in the mood with classic beats and dance tracks that are synonymous with the iconic party island. Later, the unique twist of classical music renditions of Ibiza hits added a sophisticated touch to the evening. The blend of live orchestral performance with the vibrant energy of Ibiza anthems created a magical experience that was both nostalgic and refreshing.
Overall, Palmer Park is a wonderful venue for events and a beautiful park to visit any time of the year. Whether you're there for a peaceful afternoon or an exciting event like Classic Ibiza, you're sure to have a fantastic time. Highly...
Read moreThis park in particular is a really good place to hang out me personally living in a household with is very near to this place sometimes makes the experience of going there very boring as I walk through there nearly every day ; however, it is still a place I enjoy visiting .In addition, (this may not be necessary although I would still like to include this) If you didn't know my favourite ride which was this wooden and metal thing (sorry I do not know what to call it) someone would spin the thing around while you and a couple others would sit on these metal seats and it would spin around which is really fun especially when they push it around really fast that you feel like your gonna fall off . Sadly this ride was destroyed and the space was used to rebuild the climbing frame and make it bigger. I don't know why they did this but it may have been that lots of kids and maybe teens and adults would get hurt ( I also nearly broke my noise but turns out it just caused me to have lots of noise bleeds but that stopped ages ago .) Anyways despite that one factor it is a good place to go especially to play sports since there is a huge amount of open field space and there are also football nets . Overall please do come visit this...
Read moreA lovely local space for those with kids, good for a run, a kick around, mates playing cricket and for people like me... Dog walks.
It's not always great though. Lot's litter pretty much on every field. Grass is cut often but cuttings are left to rot. The litter is torn up by the grass cutters leaving sharp drinks cans scattered around. Where they have lots of events, which of course is a good thing, the trucks tear-up the grass creating lots of muddy tracks. Other than around the sports centre, all the benches are old and broken. Lots of drug use. Homeless people live/sleep in the bushes around the running track. My wife won't use it at night in the winter because it's too dark. It's better lit than other parks but what lighting it does have is not enough. Boarded up house and disused public toilets are eye-soars. Do something with them.
Despite my list I still love this space and go there most days to give the dog a walk and allow it to...
