Rhos is a very nice place. The atmosphere on any day is liberating. Whilst Colwyn Bay has improved considerably because of long overdue resources being spent on it, providing visitors with a genuine alternative to Llandudno's more shopper friendly offering, Rhos soldiers on without any Council spending you could visibly see.

That said it is still a beautiful beach and the village shops add a warmth and friendliness that will chime with people who don't come to the seaside to visit a department store.

Given the choice of Porth Eirias v Rhos, I would eat at Bryn's and paddle walk and dream down at Rhos. Finishing up with a coffee and Bread & butter pudding at Nino's. Cappacino no sprinkles. However nice Fortes is,or Pie would like to think it is, Nino's is a genuine Italian family seaside cafe. ...

This is the find of the North Wales coast. Absolutely fantastic seaside resort. This is a prime example of what a little investment can do for a place. The beach is long and sandy and clean with clear dog zones and no dog zones. A brand new promenade has been built giving Rhos-on-Sea a very Mediterranean feel as you walk down the front. Ample car parking at beach level (currently free June 24) and lots of seating along the promenade. I especially like all the modern sculptures and thing like solar powered charging seats. Along the beach is more than enough cafes, bars, restaurants and other activities like a park, swimming pool, crazy golf. We spent a week in North Wales travelling around and this was by far the highlight to find. Great place for everyone to visit in the...

Ross on Sea is truly a gem for anyone seeking a picturesque day trip. The beach is incredibly clean, with soft, sandy shores that invite you to relax and soak up the sun. The stunning views and tranquil atmosphere make it a perfect spot for a leisurely day out.

The toilets were well-maintained, which is always a plus when spending the day at the beach. This attention to hygiene adds to the overall positive experience.

Whether you’re looking to build sandcastles, take a peaceful stroll, or simply unwind with a good book, Ross on Sea has it all. I would definitely recommend this beautiful beach to anyone looking for a delightful escape. It’s the perfect destination for families, couples, or even solo travelers seeking a refreshing...

Beautiful, clean little seaside town that’s had some money invested in it, and it’s delightful! The sand is clean, rock pools at low tide, just watch out for the jellyfish. Dog friendly for the majority of the beach apart from the bit right at the front near the shops, check the signage. Lovely walks along the promenade out towards Llandudno, if you go the other way towards Colwyn Bay there’s a parking area and the walkway along the front has been kitted out with things for children to do. If you’re feeling energetic there are exercise machines going up the hill, above the car parking area on the front.

We love going to Rhos on Sea for a day out but will probably make a good base for a stay. We'd love to retire here! We'd never be bored and if you need a little more to do, there's Llandudno further up and Snowdonia just a little further. A lovely place to visit. Beautifully quaint beach which could be confused for a fishing beach in the Caribbean! There's a busy(ish) but safe road separating the seafront from the shops and plenty of free parking! A lovely kids play park and plenty of places to escape from the wind!
