Went with a friend on my birthday,it was only early but the place was empty apart from a man sat down..he then got up to direct us to a table, gave us a menu and returned to his seat. I left it for a few minutes then said "excuse me?" He looked over to me not looking happy to be disturbed again, suddenly realised he may be a customer or a friend off staff keeping watch while the staff were in the bathroom so I apologized and asked if he did work here... apparently he did. Ordered water and wine my friend wanted soup and I asked if I could have the mixed grill without the potatoes and vegetables but could I have salad and a pitta bread instead. We didn't wait too long but there was no music on and the waiter didn't come back until he came with the food measley bit of bagged leaves and 2 tiny quarters of tomato, asked where my pitta was and he said I would have to pay £3 and something pence for that and slunk back to his seat while I was still trying to talk to him. Had to raise my voice across the room to explain I had ordered it instead of the potatoes and vegetables he stomped off and came back a few minutes later with an apology and a pitta. Did manage to eat the meal as was hungry but I really didn't like it the meat was dry overcooked tough and tasteless could only taste the dried herbs that were liberally shook all over. Was up most of the night with the dried herbs repeating on me all night. Dreadful experience and spoilt my birthday . Just seen your reply and noticed how you can't deal with criticism from your other reviews. I never speak to anyone in the way you have just portrayed me . I don't like leaving bad reviews and was going to leave it and just not return as many people do but the dried herbs keeping me up prompted me to make a review. You won't stay in business long with your attitude, you need to own up to mistakes.and as I said I requested salad and a pitta instead of potatoes and vegetables I never asked for anything free a scattering of bagged leaves and half a tomato took no effort I didn't want potatoes and vegetables if he couldn't accommodate me he should have said. I'm tempted to post the photos of the sorry looking mess but I'll leave it as you can't tell people like you anything . Why are you leaving a chef that barely speaks English in charge of all the jobs clearly the customer doesn't come first in...
Read moreI couldn't find specific reviews for Dionyssos Resto in Rhos-on-Sea, but I can certainly help you write a very good review based on general expectations for a restaurant of this type. Here's a draft for you:
Review of Dionyssos Resto in Rhos-on-Sea
I recently visited Dionyssos Resto in Rhos-on-Sea, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a cozy, rustic decor that immediately made us feel at home. The ambiance is perfect for a relaxed evening, with soft lighting and comfortable seating.
The menu offers a fantastic selection of Mediterranean and Greek dishes, and there's something for everyone, including plenty of vegetarian options. We started with the Kolokithokeftedes (courgette and cheese balls), which were a delightful surprise with their crispy exterior and creamy interior. For the main course, I had the Giouvetsi, a hearty lamb and orzo dish that was cooked to perfection, and my partner enjoyed the Moussaka, which was rich and flavorful.
The service was impeccable. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, making excellent recommendations and ensuring our dining experience was seamless. The portions were generous, and the food was beautifully presented, making each dish a visual and culinary treat.
Overall, Dionyssos Resto is a hidden gem in Rhos-on-Sea. Whether you're a fan of Greek cuisine or just looking for a cozy spot to enjoy a delicious meal, this restaurant is a must-visit. I highly recommend Dionyssos Resto to anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable dining experience. We'll definitely be...
Read moreDisgusting food and terrible service! I would not recommend going there as you’re risking spending a lot of money and leaving half of the plate full as the food is so bad.
When we ordered, my fiancé asked for tzatziki without garlic due to allergy, they refused to do it and offered plain Greek yoghurt instead.
We ordered a simplest meal, plate of gyros. The chicken was not done well, with hard and chewy parts, plain and awful. My tzatziki which meant to be done traditionally was nothing like original tzatziki, no olive oil and tasted like Greek yoghurt with cucumber inside. The only nice part about this meal was the pitta bread, and that’s about it.
We also ordered orange juice, when asked if it’s fresh waiter responded that yes, where instead they served us orange juice from a box by the taste of it.
If you ever been to Greece and tasted the proper food there, DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE, YOU WILL BE SEVERELY DISAPPOINTED!!!
The most baffling part was they didn’t even have courage to ask if the food was good, they probably know the answer very well.
Worst spent £39 in my life.
The only good part about this place was the atmosphere, it looks like proper Greek restaurant with Greek music and decorations, but food was made by someone who should never be allowed into a kitchen.
Looking at other reviews and responses from the “owner” he was most certainly born in a kennel. Your mother...
