Really like the beach it's so varied. The bay is around 5 miles in length from Culver end to the North and South to Luccombe. Low tides leave acres of beach for kids (from babies to OAPs- I know I are one!) and adults. Plenty of refreshment places and voids with nothing in them at either end. Read moreThis beach is a real family orientated beach. The water when it's high tide is amazing. It's great looking over the water into the distance at the ships coming into Portsmouth. The guy who hires out the deck chairs and sun loungers is a really friendly guy who I spend time talking to. He grew up on the island and knows so much about it. Great conversation. The food from the driftwood bar and cafe is a great place to eat...
Read moreLove the place. It's so peaceful and not too busy on a beautiful warm day at 22 degree. Close sun and no wind makes it feel a lot warmer than it is. Sand is nice and soft, water is clean and lots of activities to do. The main beach is dog free which is a bonus for me.
