The Ocean Deck Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in England

We didn't realise this was attached to the soft play and arcade, which is probably down to my lack of research on this one but the views looked good so I did risk it. The views were lovely and therefore such a shame on the actual restaurant. It is order at the bar service, child's under 5 only included 1 sausage so we went for the under 10's so my 2 year old got 2 sausages. Then they came out to let us know that at 5pm with only one other family in the restaurant there was no mash. She offered chips or crisps.... We ordered 2 adult burgers, shrimp starter and 2 kids sausages. We asked for it all to come out when ready. The adult burgers came out first, chips cold, so when they came back with the kids food I asked for fresh chips. When the server went to get fresh chips we discovered the kids food stone cold. I'm unsure whether the beans were heated at all. The shrimp was deeply coated in batter and just unpleasant, we actually left half. I mentioned the children's food being cold when the server came back however at this point we had waited for them and we had our food so I couldn't get the kids to wait that long again for warm sausages and chips. There was NO compensation for this. The food was of poor quality, especially the sausages. With the cost of eating out and this was certainly not cheap I was very disappointed and was left thinking whether spoons would have had one up on this place. I...

When we first got there things were good. We were showed to our table and was told to use the order buttons on the table. When we were ready to order, I pressed the order button as requested but no one came. I waited 5 more minutes then pressed it again, but still no one came. After pressing the order button about 10 times and waiting 15 minutes, I decided to press the payment button and finally somebody came out. We ordered some cocktails which weren't the greatest, I had to give mine to my Mum to finish. My Dad asked me if I wanted another drink and so I went for a prosecco. I rang the order button again to order, and once again no one came. After waiting another 10 minutes, my Dad went to the bar to order. They then came out with a massive bottle of prosecco when my Dad only asked for 1 small prosecco. I told them this was wrong and they came back with the right order. When I asked for the bill, they had put the massive bottle of prosecco on the bill when I only ordered the small one. I went to the till and sorted and everything was fine. Then as me and my parents were about to leave, the waitress came to my table with another bottle of prosecco!! Another bottle which we did not order!!!!.......

The service wasn't...

I had booked a table for me and my partner for dinner on a Thursday night. The staff were pleasant but service was quite slow. I ordered the Sea bass and my partner had the cod and chips. Food seemed to take a while to arrive, but the waitress apologised for the wait when she brought our food. My partner took the opportunity to order a second beer. This never arrived. His fish and chips was double the size of my food. I scarfed down my rather mean portion of sea bass in no time, as the food was delicious. I was, however, left rather hungry and sat watching my partner as he ate his meal, easily twice as much food as I was given. When the waitress came to clear our plates I raised with her that my food was delicious but was quite a small portion. She said she would say something to the chef but didn't seem to care much. We asked for a dessert menu, but when we were told that one of the 3 options were sold out, we got the bill (partners second beer never having arrived) and we left.
