Stunning East neuk village, with a choice of 3 good chip shops , famous isn't always better. The wee chippy also caters for gluten free everyday not just some days. The harbour can get rather busy at times especially when the chip shops open , the Queues can be quite lengthy. Please be respectful in parking near the RNLI lifeboat station, if they get a shout they need to be able to gain access quickly to get afloat. Their swift launch could save lives . And please don't again don't feed the seagulls. They pose a hazard to the area they snatch and steal off Humans (all sizes) . And create litter . The area is steeped in history please enjoy responsibly and show respect to others .

Our first visit to Anstruther and the Harbour area. Firstly its absolutely lovely litter place, clean and tidy with great views and atmosphere. We managed to get a parking space near the Lifeboat House. This was fairly convenient as it allows us to make our way down the main street/Harbour area. This is unfortunately where our trip was let down. One of our party was a wheelchair user, the paving on the majority of the harbour side was large cobbles, this forced us to use the busy roadway. The paving on the other side of the road is very narrow and naturally very busy, we managed to navigate through as did a couple of new parents with prams, though it was no means easy. Once you get to the toilet area it's slightly better in that it's wide paving, though naturally very busy. We of course had to force our way back towards the car, this unfortunately hampered our time spent shopping. With all that said, we spent the remainder of the day a around the bay at the Lifeboat House, making use of the small fairground rides on the pier and we had a lovely afternoon. I would highly encourage those responsible for the upkeep to make the whole area as accessible as possible within the limits of the layout of the area. I would be very wary to recommend the area to other wheelchair users or those who are not very mobile, though its not impossible to navigate its certainly not a easy venture. 🖖 3/5

Really splendid views from the harbour towards the sea. The harbour itself is very beautiful with many ships parked. You can walk around the port and enjoy the views or take a boat tour to the Isle of May. We came here for a day and took a walk from here to Elie, which I would really recommend doing. It took us 3-4h to walk by the water with incredible views. We stopped quite a few times to enjoy views and eat. Just make sure to catch the last bus!

What a great place to visit. It's all wintery/autumnaly as far as the sea is concerned. The harbour walk is open to all. Wheel chair users alike. Photos attached. Have a look and please like. There is an award winning restaurant called the wee chippy just right at the harbour. Food is absolutely amazing. Very reasonable prices. Great coffee too. The harbour has parking places for harbour staff only. Public toilets open till about 8om ish.

Anstruther is a great little town with amazing food and this very picturesque harbour. Many sea side places in Scotland are now surrounded by somewhat vicious seagulls but this is one of the few places you can still enjoy your fish and chips or ice cream without worrying. There are shops along the front of the harbour selling everything from food to arts and crafts. In general, it’s a lovely friendly place to be.

A beautiful harbour... We had some fish and chips with some mushy peas it was delicious.. a very clean place with a nice friendly atmosphere.. the parking was cheap enough but not many spaces to park..We visited as many shops as we could and bought some Malt whisky. We had nice weather without any rain and the sandy beach was clean and peaceful. We will most definitely visit again soon.
