Arria is a stunning sculpture that truly stands out as you drive through Cumbernauld. Her graceful, open-armed pose is both welcoming and mesmerizing, symbolizing strength and connection. Locals say it’s lucky to wave to her as you pass, and it always feels special to do so! She looks especially beautiful when illuminated at night, creating a striking silhouette against the sky. The surrounding area offers a peaceful spot to stop and admire the artistry up close. Whether driving by or visiting on foot, Arria is an iconic landmark well worth...

After visiting the kelpies I was aware of this sculpture also, looked amazing in the pictures I'd seen. Finding it wasn't to hard although I went into the cemetery first before coming back out to discover seemingly no parking options . I spoke to local lady who was doing her garden and she advised me on where to park . There's isn't much parking but we were the only ones there on arrival. As it's the only sculpture there you won't be there too long. We got our pictures and off we went. Worth a visit but nothing else...

What a lovely place to visit. I had seen Arria in pictures before but she is absolutely magical to see in person. The coordinates given by GPS took us to opposite side of the road. Thank you to all the reviews written previously we managed to find our way up there. We parked at Eastfield cemetery and walked up. There's a also a lovey forest walk to do, lots of people walking their dogs...

Great place, always see it from the motorway but definately worth a visit as it's very spectacular. Easy enough to find but parking a wee bit of a problem and I strongly advise not going down the one way road in your car as there isn't much parking there. It's an easy walk either way and part of the path network in the area. Watch the grass though as some folks don't pick up after their dogs!

I used to see this every day when working in the Glasgow area 10 years ago. This is the first time I've been up close, and it is massive. We parked at the end of Craighalbert Road. It was not the best as it was incredibly muddy. There is a cemetery alongside the Arria site with a handful of parking bays for those visiting loved ones.
