Birnam Arts & Cafe is a great space for the arts that benefits from natural wood finishes, lots of light and sits in stunning scenery. The Beatrix Potter Experience (next to the art centre) is worth a visit - great for children and oldies. Visit the art centre gift shop. It's well stocked with carefully curated gifts. I'm currently reading a Perthshire crime mystery novels I bought from the shop. The cafe is light, spacious and serves great coffee. Birnam Arts & Cafe is well worth visiting and the friendly, efficient staff make it a very pleasant experience.

I paid £3.50 to visit the Beatrix Potter exhibition. I was not brought up with the stories but I know they are incredibly popular. There is plenty information to read up on and it is an excellent resource giving a time and historical viewpoint. At the time of visit I could see some children colouring in drawings which had obviously been provided. I enjoyed my visit and they have a very nice little gift shop which is well stocked. The staff were very helpful.

Even though I didn’t check out the inside fully and just came here to grab a hot drink from the cafe - it’s still a nice place to have a sit down and eat a slice of cake or two! The little gift shop that they have there, sells very unique products with great gift ideas for your family and friends! The cashier was very friendly and attentive - ended up buying two dinosaur keychain plushies here for £2.99 each. The hot chocolate here is pretty good too.

Great facilities here! I was recently at my first event here last Saturday- Lizabett Russo, which was brilliant. Her voice is so enchanting!!

I've been here many times before. Many years ago when I was in Uni, during the summer before I started my 2nd year of studies I worked in the kitchen.

I have been in for tea/hot chocolate/lunch a good few times; all great! There is always a good selection to choose from.

I have also been to use the library/internet/computer/printing services. I have also been to a few classes/courses here; silversmith, felting, lino cutting/printing.

I was also here a little while back for an art exhibition (upstairs mezzanine, there are often exhibits here)

There is also a great shop where you can get keepsakes and gifts. There's lots of Beatrix Potter things. Be sure to visit the Beatrix...

Absolutely shocking unbelievable experience. We always loved to come to Dunkeld for a day out and visited this cafe. We loved the place with a beautiful scenery. Recently after the new art coordinator took over they decided to stop serving food upstairs, in the best bit of cafe. We understand that the coordinator values their art perhaps more than cafe visitor's experience. We live one hour drive from the place and we managed to visit Dunkeld and our favourite cafe again after long time today. They were short of staff and a lady behind the till was very stressed and panicking. One will understand that they had just a bad day. From my perspective they should not take it out on customers anyway. The woman was just so rude that she ruined all our experience and I doubt that we will ever visit...

We had our wedding reception at Birnam Arts and it was a magical day. Communication throughout the whole booking process and then on the day itself was excellent. They made sure that we thought of things that hadn't occurred to us and were flexibke about solutions for any issues that arose during the planning and set up. They were easily accomodating of our flower decorations and table lights which we delivered in advance, Champagne, Birnam Arts chilled these for us and the auditorium decorations ready for our ceilidh. Consequently, the day itself went without any problems and all the staff were fantastic. It meant we didn't have to worry about anything on the day. A fantastic venue...
