We had a lovely 2 day stopover at a airbnb in Eyemouth and enjoyed the hospitality of the quayside pubs and the village shops. On day two we visited the sculpture depicting the tragic loss of fishermen in days gone by and decided to visit the museum to find out more. We were not dissapointed with this compact but highly informative local keeper of history. Within we found out about Eyemouths contribution to the suffragette movement, the hard working girls and women who travelled the coastline gutting and cleaning the daily catch and the brave fishermen who worked a cruel north sea when the tides would dictate otherwise. Educational and interesting. Was about £10 to enter as a family of 4. Would recommend. There is also a little shop to buy any trinkets you may want to take home...
