After a day in Glasgow, I needed a place to stay on the way to Newcastle the following day and found The Ship in Eyemouth, First thing that I do is read the reviews and there are many positive ones like this so it was booked and upon receiving directions and instructions to my room to make this a complete safe covid free booking in I was greeted with a very spacious and immaculately clean room with a good shower and fantastic view of the Harbour, there is also free parking at the rear and payed parking along the Harbour, After a good walk around Eyemouth which is beautiful with plenty of history I decided to visit the bar and restaurant which again is as the room very spacious with a good variety of seating and the right lighting to enjoy the evening, I ordered the Fish n Chips as Haddock was on the menu, my favourite, got to say it was absolutely delicious and piping hot to the last bite cooked in a tasty batter served with skinned chips and garden peas, all served up by delightful, friendly staff. If you don't pay The Ship a visit you'll be...

May 2024: I visited here for an evening meal with my family. Great first impressions - the venue looks nice, great location and very clean and tidy. Also got a lovely welcome from the staff member who showed us to the table. The food was absolutely incredible, the steak pie was one of the best I've ever had. Portion size is generous too! Also highly recommend the haggis bon bons for starter. The interior decor in the toilet area is a sight to behold - if you've seen it, you'll know what I mean! Only downside to our visit was the pace that the staff operated at. They were constantly darting between tables, gathering plates from multiple tables at a time and very quick to serve/clear up. The (very) fast pace just slightly overpowered what would be a nice chilled and relaxed atmosphere. That being said, the food was amazing and for the price/portion size, I would highly recommend and will be back...

I treated me ma to lunch in this lovely restaurant, The Ship. We almost didn't dine here as we wanted to go to another restaurant around the corner where they have apparently award winning fish 'n chips. They were fully booked, which is why we decided to try another restaurant. Luckily, we did! The food was really good and big portions too. I loved the Poop DeckđŸ€Ł It's their idea of calling the toilets. The walls and ceiling is covered in fake foilage, and the rest rooms are spotless! I really liked the signs: Gentleman(Men/male), Ladies(Women/female), and Whatever(Gender confused)đŸ€ŁEverything on the menu was a word play on ship related things. There was also a large military presence with a...

Decent place. Food was good overall, though seafood linguine lacked much flavour in the noodles. The chorizo special was good. Haggis Bon Bon’s were tasty and well presented. Menu is a bit confusing, with a nautical theme, yet the sea bread was not at all sea-based. Beer selection was basic, nothing really ‘crafty’ when compared to other places these days, but fine - the Ice Breaker was solid. Good, friendly service. Decor is clean and modern, but a bit soulless. This isn’t a cosy, welcoming place you might expect from the outside, but more modern in the Ikea-vibe of things. A bit of a miss, perhaps. Good but not great for the price.
