Today, my dad and I got a fantastic guided tour of the beautiful stained glass at Maryhill burgh halls. We were taken round by Helena who was super helpful and very knowledgeable about the local history. Mark was extremely helpful in organising the visit. My dad and I were blown away by how friendly and helpful everyone was, the stained glass was amazing and the Matchbox factory exhibition was also really interesting. The range of artwork on the walls is amazing. The whole building has been renovated very well, it's modern, cozy and nice. We had a great afternoon, complete with a coffee and cake in the cafe. Read moreLovely clean space and friendly staff but won't be back as the level of noise was unbearable. Children running around the cafe unsupervised and being allowed several at a time to thump for 45 mins continously on an old piano and not asked by reception or cafe staff to quieten or consider other customers. Unacceptable so wouldn't be back . Could have been regular customers as we use the gym next door several times a week but couldn't stand that noise when trying to catch up with friends. Read moreMBH hosted our exhibition for 3 months last winter, and we thoroughly recommend it as an exhibition and event venue. Elegant, clean, and full of heritage. Thanks to the possibility to exhibit in the corridor as well as the exhibition room, our artworks were seen by everyone who entered the building. The large hall and the garden room are suitable for different kinds of events, too. We particularly appreciated Aurora's attention to detail and her understanding of accessibility needs, and everyone's (workers and volunteers) hospitality and can-do attitude....
