Peggy’s — Local services in Great Britain

It was a cold rainy night in Glasgow. What is a student to do if there are no exams to revise for? As I pondered this question, my stomach answered me.

“Peggy’s”, it growled.

As if I was in a trance, I picked up the phone and started dialling. I placed my order, swooped my jacket on and left to collect in a flash.

10 minutes later, and I walked through the doors of this legendary establishment. Immediately it hit me. The smell. The aroma. It was unreal. I temporarily lost consciousness until I was awoken by the words:

“How can I help you?”

I opened my eyes and it was her. Peggy. I had heard so much but seen so little. Until now.

I collected my food, sprinted home and devoured the lot. Char Siu with rice. Gone in seconds.

And I loved every bite.

This has to be the best takeaway in Maryhill and beyond! Their curry sauce has been second to none until recently it had a strong smokey taste which was unpleasant 🤔 hopefully it was just a one off and will be back on par my next visit 🤞 Everything is fresh, a-plenty and reasonably priced! I've knocked off a star for the smokey curry! I've not been back since the smokey curry...now use The Silver Inn opposite the old Job Centre on...

I ate here because I bring my wee one up to a class 2 mins away. Wish the takeaway would move to saltcoats, by far the best curry sauce and satay sauce I have tasted from a takeaway, if this place was down in saltcoats everyone would go to admit. The kind of takeaway that shuts other takeaways down. Please just move to saltcoats. There should be one in every town in Scotland...
