Kids Really like this place and been many times however didn't feel like it was the best we've had at all. Was here at weekend (26/3/22). One of the machines swallowed our money. When i tried to get the the attention of staff member. Finally we got someone and waited at the machine for a further 10 mins.. nobody came so we walked away. As kids were gettimg impatient. Went round to the soft play area with the boys to find there was a dog in the seating area... my son ran back out... the dog was barking constantly. my son is petrified of dogs one of the reasons we went to an indoor play area on a hot day instead of a beach. Then we went outside to the large trampolines.on our way out a round 3.30pm The staff members out there didn't give a S**t to be perfectly honest. Two 9 year olds. One boy one One trampoline just hanging there could hardly jump or anything staff didn't help or even encourage him to jump in any way they just stood chatting. My son also went on the other one. First time the Harness wasn't right was hurting him, so they changed it when he said it was still hurting the staff member looked peed off! (Because we disturbed his conversarion probably)..he spent the whole time having it fixed apart from maybe a minute tops where he got to jump. after that asked him when hes getting his turn... trampoline was absolutely empty..was only 3.30 but still he looked at me with attitude and said his times up... REALLY.. my son is autistic and doesn't deal well with situations like that. Bit of a bitter end to the day...
Read moreAmusement arcade suitable for all ages. Does appear a bit dated now, but then I have been going there for over 30 years.
Some rides and attractions have height limits, so make sure you check these before you buy the tokens to go on them. Once younger kids get above a certain height, they will probably only really want to go on the dodgems. The human gyro and waltzer are probably not an going to be of interest to some. Shorter kids can get onto the trampolines, inflatables, merry go round and some other smaller rides, so more for them to do.
Some games and rides provide tickets to claim prizes at the end of your stay. However, as the good prizes require a large number of tickets, it can take a while to get enough together. However, you can put your tickets into a machine and get a receipt to let you snowball them up over a few visits.
Pleasureland is not a bad place to spend a few hours, but you might be better off going to Jumping Joeys instead, especially if you have taller, but still young, kids.
Slot machines are very poor as some are only paying out 70%, so don't expect to be winning much back when you put your money in. There are 2p machines and these can provide more entertainment as they take longer to take...
Read moreBeen bringing my kids here for years, they love it. Rides are a bit dated but adds a tough of nostalgia. Buy a £9 all day wristband and enjoy unlimited time on them. The helicopter and space ship ride is like a roundabout but the kids can control what height they go via a lever onboard. Old fashioned roundabout with motorbikes, buses, fire engines etc. There's a large inflatable slide, waltzer, trampolines, dodgems and Ramboland which is s decent sized soft play area with ball pit, chutes etc. There a token operated motorbike ride, tokens 60p each, two tokens per bike. Also a lot of coin operated games at 50p a go.for Space Invaders, test your strength with the hammer. Coin operated static rides, an arcade with bandits, coin drops etc. A snack area for burgers, hotdogs, ice cream. Outdoors there is a bungee trampoline included with the day pass. All in all a good place to take the kids especially...
