Tutties Neuk Inn — Restaurant in Scotland

OK so having past this so many times over so many years, I always glimpse as I pass and say "1 day!" In hope that i can visit this wee place for a cheeky drink or two 😉. So the time was now, went to Arbroath purely to go in here 😀 I was in my element at the prospects. I have to say it exceeded every expectation I had ever had 😍, I'm gutted I never made the effort years ago. How welcome I was made was amazing, like I'd been visiting for years. Amazing customer service from Carol and even the locals blethered. The ambience in the bar was perfect, tartan carpets, comfy seating, homely feel and spotless. I came back later for tea and was given a very warm welcome yet again, the Restaurant was lively also and the girls that served delivered brilliant customer service yet again, and the meals 😋😋😋 perfect with favorable portions and presented beautifully on the plate, and I am so fussy. The food did not disappoint in any way. I have to say I am without a shadow of a doubt going back to this place at many opportunities, actually I'm gonna book for this weekend and canna wait. So Carol and all the other staff thank you for making this visit which I anticipated for ma y years, the absolute Best!! Will see you all soon...

I have passed this place so many times but this is the first time I have visited, after a local recommendation. We had lunch in the bar as the bar is dog friendly and our 4 legged companions are made to feel very welcome. The bar is nicely decorated in colours that honour the football club across the Road, Arbroath FC. (We checked in advance to make sure there was no match planned that day!) The staff were warm and friendly. The food was great quality, good portion size but a little pricey for my liking. Still worth it though. There is sufficient parking outside. I wouldn't say the entrance is wheelchair friendly and seating may be too tight but I did see a pram inside so you could give it a try... not my area of expertise. Mens toilets in the bar are typical of an old fashioned bar so not the greatest and definitely not wheelchair friendly. I would have rated this 5 star but knocked it down slightly as there was very limited food options for the dog and I think prices are on the high side. Wow! What a fantastic little restaurant. Very bright and friendly atmosphere, staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food was absolutely fantastic, I had the sirloin steak, pictured below (forgive the onion ring with a bite mark, they looked yummy!). Often when I order a medium steak, it is often undercooked, not this time. Cooked perfectly, the steak was delicious! The peppercorn sauce was creamy and tasty and did not overpower the steak in any way, onion rings were crunchy and tasty. My wife had the special, hot salmon with prawn marie rose, which was all delicious also. Kids had sausages and pizza, both were very happy with their meals.
