I recently had the pleasure of staying at Duddingston House, an Elie Select property, and it was an experience that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the atmosphere of tranquility and luxury that made my stay truly unforgettable for myself and my family attending a wedding.

The property itself is stunning, nestled in a picturesque location that offers breathtaking views from every angle of Elie Beach. I often found myself looking out onto the water and just decompressing. The architecture and design of Duddingston House perfectly blends modern sophistication with charming, rustic elements, creating an elegant and inviting ambiance.

The accommodations at Duddingston House are nothing short of spectacular. My room was spacious, impeccably clean, and furnished with one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The amenities provided were top-notch, including a large kitchen and table, luxury-hotel-quality bathrooms, and amazing views of Elie Beach. I particularly appreciated the private patio, where I could have family and friends over for a nice BBQ in the adjacent hut.

What truly sets Elie Select apart, however, is the exceptional level of service. The staff are incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure that my family and I felt special but also very comfortable. From the personalized welcome note to the accessibility of communication and the thoughtful recommendations for local attractions and dining, every interaction was marked by genuine care and professionalism. This is what stood out to me. Deborah and Jaime, thank you for making my first trip to Scotland such an amazing experience.

In summary, my stay with Elie Select was an absolute dream. It is a haven of peace and luxury, where every detail is designed to provide an exceptional guest experience. I left feeling refreshed, pampered, and already dreaming of my next visit to all of their other properties. If you're looking for a perfect getaway, Elie Select is the place to be.

Just before Easter 2023 we had our second visit to West House, the first having been in 2019. It was a great joy to have the use of this house again drawing the family together from far and wide. All the things we enjoyed then, plus with better weather we were able to sit outside in the front garden in the evening and enjoy the view along the length of the beach. Had a change of ownership, so missing the art, but redecorated stylishly. For Elie Select, Jamie and Deborah made the organisation simple and were discreetly available and helpful during our stay. In 2019 as I wrote then...'we had an amazing October holiday family meet in West House, Elie, 16 of us, all ages, tremendous place. This sympathetically modernised old house has a large walled garden, allows dogs, and is right beside the beach. Wonderful location, multiple bedroom options with different decor, and lots of daytime space for folk to be together or separate. Our favourite was the massive dining/kitchen, excellent cooking facilities and a large long table. This is not to mention the wood burning stove, open fire upstairs, the art, and the views. Well looked after by Jamie and his crew. We will be back when we can think...

Wynd House was the perfect choice for my 60th Birthday and yet even I had underestimated its beauty and appeal. We all fell in love with its magic and no-one wanted to leave. Described as "Vintage Charm", I could not have anticipated the warm, homely and friendly nature of the house and its no wonder that the home has been in the family for 400 years. We loved the fact that 16 of us could sit round the table and yet still find privacy in one of the many different nooks and crannies. We experienced some pretty extreme weather conditions over the weekend and the house was equally inviting with the log fires going in the drawing rooms while watching the wild sea or with the sun streaming in the windows overlooking the beach - the views are stunning! The house is full of character and lends itself to a weekend such as this so, thanks to the lovely welcome and kind attention from Jamie and Denise, we would hope to return.
