The Witches Stone — Attraction in Scotland

The witches stone is a marker in which people would kill women in the belief they were a witch. This is one such marker. Poor lady. So the idea is this is where the witch landed after the ordeal. Horrifying stuff. There are several of these all over Scotland. More recently the Scottish Gov, decided it would be a good idea to pardon some or all of these poor ladies and this is kind of pointless but also good to recognise the tragic events...

Bit of a random location. I’d put this in to Google Maps while walking and was surprised to end up at the side of the road. Nevertheless, this is definitely worth parking at Grant Park, which is a 2 minute walk from the stone. It’s worth the visit and the history. Makes you realise how far we’ve come...
